This is unless you go bio all the way to the late game. In that case, One barrack could give the reactors to the starports.

Although this is a good idea, it's not very convenient. Considering you would have to lift off the barracks as well as the other production facility, the time and attention spent to do this is marginal compared to just doing a regular addon. There's a reason why you only see this in early game when a certain tech or tech unit is desired. | ||
