I do realize that "muttalisk" is a misspelling of "mutalisk," but I still find this to be a very mind-blowing revelation of international proportions.
Anyways, to make this blog valid, here are some random thoughts of mine:
-So, as I browse the forums seeing complaints about SC2 possibly being nerfed too much, I imagine the analogy of soups. Bear with me, I know nothing about cooking except for random stuff watched on Food Network. BW is a brilliant soup recipe with the perfect blend of spices and organic ingredients; hearty for the soul and nutritious for the body, the BW soup continues to please. However, it's a bit of an acquired taste as people have to get by its slightly unpleasing smell before being able to fully enjoy its rich flavors.
Anyways, I imagine SC2 as a similar successor to the BW soup that tries to emulate the flavors and nutrition of its predecessor while sporting supposedly superior ingredients and losing the slightly undesirable oder that made its predecessor a bit of an acquired taste. On one hand, more people are able to enjoy this soup, probably through a combination of good marketing and the fact that the SC2 soup is way better than any other similar soup except for perhaps the BW soup.
However, the chef decides that he would be open to tweaking the recipe for the SC2 soup, whereas BW's recipe was set in stone ages ago. People are complaining that certain ingredients in the SC2 soup stick out, claiming that it makes it too "salty." At first, they're feedback is valid and the soup is improved with added water and the lessening of certain ingredients. As time goes on, however, the people still complain about the soup being too "salty," so the chef continues to add water. The soup becomes more consistent and arguably more tasty to some, but it had lost the essence and perfect harmony of spice that its predecessor soup had. Instead of becoming the hearty, home-made masterpiece that the previous soup had been, the new soup became the best store-bought canned soup ever created, but nothing more.
Anyways, I don't take this analogy seriously, and neither should you. I was just hungry.
-Portal 2 is awesome. I did a 2 hour, full run-through of Portal 1 last night before starting Portal 2, and this really pointed out the massive improvements in the graphics, gameplay, and storyline in Portal 2 over Portal 1. The Source engine may be ancient, but the great lighting and art direction in Portal 2 do a great job of masking the engine's deficiencies. Also, the story is much more fleshed out with tons of deeper lore, and it's really cool to see the backstories of characters and places be so interesting. I'm not done yet, though I'm having a blast and hope to finish it tonight.
-I eat way too much Jimmy John's.
That is all.

Portal 2 needs a customized map sort of thing. There's Source SDK, but something like Super Meat World would be awesome and totally would give the game replayability beyond what it has now.
As for Mutilisks, I wish they were like the ones in BW.

As for Mutilisks, I wish they were like the ones in BW. Actually, on the Portal 2 page on Steam it says:
Editing Tools: Portal 2 editing tools will be included. Note: To be made available after launch. http://store.steampowered.com/app/620/
I'm quite excited to see what kind of crazy stuff the community can come up with. Though the lack of challenge chambers is a bit disappointing, I have faith that Valve will support us with the kind of free content updates that they had been having for L4D, L4D2, and TF2 (aside from the Hat Store shenanigans).

Ooh, sexy! thanks for the heads-up! I get motion sickness when I play the game, so I'm hoping they let me adjust the FOV so I can play without feeling sick.

Yeah, the motion sickness stuff is a bit bothersome. I was feeling a bit nauseous as I was spoilering myself with livestreams of the game the night before I bought it, probably because the FOV is somewhat low and locked. However, the PC version gets a somewhat wider FOV than the console versions, which is at least somewhat of a bonus, especially in this day and age where Crysis 2 has motion-sickness-inducing, console-style FOV on PC.

FOV is locked, you can't change it on PC. In the Half-Life series you could and thankfully I will be able to play and finish them.

I didn't even know a Portal 2 existed until I read this blog! I'll have to check it out while I continue the seemingly endless wait for HL2: Episode 3.
Of course I waited a long time for both HL2 and SC2(sadly, I still have not played the game), so I suppose I can handle it!
On a side note: I've never been able to get into soup, it's just not appealing.

I think EGIdrA being an anagram to " I raged " is more mindblowing.

brood war is more like an old fashioned broth
its not that tasty. its takes a lot of effort to make work, and is a pain in the ass. but if thats what youve been eating since 1590 thats just what you like
sc2 is like a can of Heinz tomato soup. easy, tasty and probably better for you but your grandad will tell you to stop eating that crap :D

I find Heinz tomato soup to be bland and rather disgusting, while my dad's homemade tomato soup is delicious and wonderful; especially with grilled cheese.
