So apparently if you play CoD MW2 and Unreal tournament you can make better/faster decisions than if you played Sims 2. What about Starcraft 2...what a lame study

Besides, both games require reflexes and quick thinking to manage your way through situations. Nope. Call of Duty has almost no decision making. About 90% of the kills they get is from being lucky. If you want an FPS with real decision making, try Quake Live. [/elitist]

either way, just because their study doesn't use our game doesn't mean it's a bad study. they also don't have just studies on "decision making" but also attention, visual responsiveness, and other behavioural stuff that isn't covered in this rather badly written "news" report. SC is among their survey results as well, but obviously they don't have it under "action" since it's not FPS - though we can of course argue about that. either way, just because their study doesn't use our game doesn't mean it's a bad study. they also don't have just studies on "decision making" but also attention, visual responsiveness, and other behavioural stuff that isn't covered in this rather badly written "news" report. please. stop talking. that's not even close to what they're trying to say, so before you make uninformed statements, do yourself a favor and actually read what they write. Also, he should learn not to underestimate and belittle studies just because he doesn't like them and thinks they're unimportant, because, guess what, they're not unimportant. For starters, they can provide a lot of help to other researches that are trying to find cures/help for, let's say, "people with decision making problems" (including physical brain/body problems). Not to mention other studies. So stop and think before you hit the post button, ***it's in the 10 COMMANDMENTS*** that you said you're going to follow by signing up for an account on this site. Related to the op, that's an interesting study, wish I had the whole paper to read it, not just this news.
