So 57 games so far. Have you been promoted yet? If not its going to be a very hard task. I went from copper to diamond during the beta but it took me almost three months and I got promoted to bronze (equivelent to silver) within my first 40 games. I suggest looking for an all around good build (like the 4gate if your protoss, 2 hatch muta if your zerg and 1\1\1 build if you are terran) and master it, riding it all the way to diamond.

Well, if Rain has told us anything... Er, i mean Yeah, good luck to you - just stick with the macro - the tough part is always learning the timings when you are vulnerable, and finding ways to scout. As diamond, i still struggle with these cheese/allin/timing pushes. :////
Haha. Well,I do agree with those that say cheesing is part of the game though. Play to win. Its just a terrible feeling when you get all this confidence knocking out 2000+ diamonds finally getting paired with them but then you lose to a really dumb blind 1base stim rush against a low platinum player thats played a thousand games.
Or you forget to put the pylon in potential ramp blocking positions when up against random and you 9pylon scout a 6pool.
So long MMR lol
What I have gotten out of this is trying not to sweat so much the individual games lost, and to take each game as a learning experience regardless the outcome.

good luck. That is not what I want to do though... I want to improve, so I stopped doing just a 7rr. I also recently decided to focus and try really hard to get into diamond over this winter break. Although I fear I will be stuck at 2k platinum for a while, (coming from 1k platinum from a few days ago) I've been approaching it the same way. This is a great attitude to have and I will definitely be following this blog. There are so many who 7rr, 4gate, and 2rax every game but it does not benefit in the long run. You've got the right idea! See you on the ladder.
Thanks for the support and I hope you make diamond!

...If you actually read my blog you would see that I have only played 47 games, getting promoted to silver after 20 and gold after 47. I decided to take a break today and not play any games. I will return to playing 10 games a day tomorrow. So I feel like if just keep plugging away I'll reach diamond right around the end of my break or be really close.

I was just reading the posts, and I really think the overwhelming majority of posters are supporting you. I'm not sure how you came the conclusion that people hate you, but I can't say I agree.
We're rootin' for ya lol

So this is much more doable than the guy who wanted to hit C+ from D in like two months (iccup BW).

good luck. That is not what I want to do though... I want to improve, so I stopped doing just a 7rr. actually it does benefit you. because you COULD NOT stick to your plan everytime. for instance there may be people 6 pooling you while you are not executing very good doing a 7RR. then you have to adapt. its not very convincing but through this process you are actually going to learn a lot about the game. also, a good build does not only have things like "OK, lets go 7RR and win" and no plan after it. this is something a TRUE CHEESE where there is no plan after it. you have to plan the whole game in order to be solid. well you dun have to be very precise and stick to it but it definitely helps.
i only do 4 warpgates into mass blink stalkers with full upgrades the first 500 games in starcraft2. its so surprise that just by doing this i have learnt a lot of game mechanics and ways to adapt.

I think its still an uphill battle. Generaly speaking there is about as much still difference between bronze to silver and platinum to diamond than there is from silver to platinum so you have the biggest hurdle ahead of yourself. You seem capible of forfilling your goal so good luck.
