Wowwww so great! Impressive every time!
|
This one definitely looks female. The lack of a beard, hair and body curves suggest it.
|
|
i thought you spoiler was common knowledge but i guess a lot of people get it confused like your and you're anyways did you draw this or did you just find it somewhere?
|
haha yeah you'd think so.. but I see it so often and it annoys my inner ocd self. I drew it :D
|
Needs more bewbz.
Other than that, great job! :D

|
Looks very good, I'm impressed.
|
Love this. It does look like a female, considering her face has the smoothness and structure like Selendis' face. Keep doing more please

are protoss even mammals??
|
Really nice! It's subtle but definetly noticeable.
|
you are better than me vinn
*bows*
and yes it looks very female just judging by structure
|
girl = smaller waste lol...
nice drawing... but this is sorta like drawing a female zergling and a male one... the original art is not complex enough to have sexes...

Protoss are plants; no, seriously, they supposedly take in energy from the sun.

I'd hit that like a 6 gate timing attack
|
haha, well done. It looks a little off, so I guess it must be her womanly charm

Lore wise, they are not mammals. Flat chest is forgivable by lore standards, just not by lonely nerd standards. Selendris and the Matriarch (Raszagal) are the only real references you could use, I don't know if you did, but your work definitely is similar
+ Show Spoiler +
Edit: It's really good too!

Amazing work! She looks female, though I can't pinpoint...why. Nice joke too, didn't see it coming

She has nice bone structure.

Because the idea of a female zealot was planted in your mind in the first place when you read the title.
If the pic is shown alone without any explanation, I think almost everyone will find it a normal (male) zeal.
Edit: Oh on second look the waist does suggest that's a female... But still... I think it needs more distinctive features. Anyway keep up the good work vinn
|
Yeah definitely has feminine features, you pulled it out great. Awesome work.

R1CH just needs to make a script that auto-rates every one of these blogs a 5/5.

Fixed.

Looks clearly feminine, well done to get that to show without most of the usual indicators.

This is awesome! By default I think it looks female, but if I stare and concentrate hard enough I can convince myself that it's male... but like a skinny androgynous male that is the hero of every anime ever

On that same note: for all you Dutchies out there, "I am better as you" is also incorrect.
Very nice fan art!

So much better then the caster fan art.

Why is she giving us the finger? Glowing psionic lightsaber finger, but still...
|
Too much makeup.
j/k, looks really great. It looks female but can't quite tell why.

awww unfair ban right here :p hope your posting history made it deserved. By the way awesome work on the female zealot! i hope protoss gets a female unit in future expansions.

It's awesome and looks feminine enough for a zealot I think, not much you can do unless you stylize the armor to be more feminine. Seriously, your art is pretty amazing, keep up the good work.

Is it really a shelot? I don't want a repeat of last new years!
|
America's Next Top Model imo

I wonder if the other female zealots of the protoss race dont fight because they arent interested enough at fighting to get good at it, or because most of them just cannot reach the level of the males even if they try thoughts?

Or perhaps the protoss have a different genetic system than us and perhaps only one female is born per ~ 100 males. This would explain the relatively low protoss population despite the fact that they can live for thousands of years.

blizz plz put these in HotS

The fact that they live for thousands of years is enough of an explanation on its own. Longer lived species have slower population growth rates.

I love your work, vinn! Did you make a video? Those are fantastic.

Very good! Just have to find a female voice actor to say "Gee'hous!" "Gau'gurah!" "Khas I serve!"

the female zealots have a female looking face°° i think its quite obvious

Gorgeous artwork!
They're probably not mamals, certainly don't have mouths, and we haven't a clue how they give birth... so who knows if they'd have any "feminine" human characteristics?
Always struck me as silly when female aliens are depicted with human female traits. A creature with no mouth certainly doesn't need breasts... or like in ME, an alien that reproduces via eggs has no need for wide hips... etc etc... lol
But anyway, awesome picture!
|
Actually, females and males in Protoss race are not that different from each other. It seems that guys seem to be too much caught up in stereotypes of 'Terran' females and assume that even alien females must resemble 'Terran' ones. If you look at say, Selendis, she has not that different anatomy from male Protoss and I can tell you for sure that those who are not into SC2 won't be able to tell male and female apart.
And, one example of Female Zealot, from one SC based comics book speaks for everything, when it comes to males and females being basically the same in Protoss race -

The picture in the original post is awesome btw. :D

It looks pretty female to me, mostly because of the facial shape and the eyes.

GJ on the pic! By the way, that's in my sig! I've had it there since like the summer, you know, the whole then/than thing. Drives me nuts, too.
