I don't know if this is out of the ordinary, but I freakin' LOVE green tea. With a passion. Anything out of Japan with green tea/matcha elements makes me so happy. Whether it be green tea ice cream, matcha lattes, to green tea kitkats... I love it all. Sometimes when I'm in Asia and out with friends I order green tea with vodka as my drink of choice.
So today my sister messages me on facebook. My family lives in Tokyo, and in said message my sister tells me about a new creation called "cookies and green tea" and says it's "sooooo yummy." It sounds godly. But I cannot find it in my nearby supermarket. I hear from a friend that it's a special edition flavor in Japan only. IS THIS TRUE?! I have googled but cannot find info. Sigh.

Ok, that's pretty amazing looking. I haven't had green tea ice cream in a while.
Not all Japanese exclusives are good though.

Oh, god, Jibba, LOL.
Looks like an interesting variety of ice cream. I would definitely try it, but my favourite of all time is their rocky road ice cream.

Another unique food snack that they have in Japan are Wasabi kitkats!
They taste weird but at the same time pretty yummy.

My GF loves the Japanese haagen-dazs, and we took pictures of every flavour that we ate, probably close to 20.
I didn't particularly like green-tea and cookies or most of the plain ones for that matter (plain = red box), my favourite ones were from the dolce collection (it's more expensive than the regular haagen-dazs) which is their take on classic desserts with ice cream.

Hershey kitkats are a disgrace to the brand.
In fact, all American candy is vastly inferior to the British counterparts.

haha in Coldstone creamery, after mixing the ice cream with the chocolate/cookie chips, the waitress has to put the cup upside down to prove the ice cream is still very solid. If the ice cream falls down, they have to make a new one !
Regarding strange flavors, we also have terrible stuffs in China. Like the fruit flavors Lays crisps :
Blueberry, Kiwi, Pineapple...

Man, I had Green Tea ice cream at a Thai resteraunt once. It was quite frankly the most amazing ice cream I've had in my life.
Otherwise, I live off Arizona Green Tea when I'm out and about and get thirsty. I can only imagine how much money I've spent over the years on can after can of that stuff.
EDIT: Oh, and lets not forget.. One of the greatest Green Tea inventions from Asia.

Some of these foods look really badass. Especially that tiramisu ice cream that looks like dirt LOL. I must say green tea ice cream kind of disgusts me but I've never actually tried it so it might just as well be good.

Anyhow those japanese kitkats freak me out, how can people eat that TT, nestle on the other hand makes some of the best candy known to man, im not sure about american candy, my only encounter with them is in the form of skittles, and I do love me some skittles.

Haagen Dasz is cheap in the states, relatively at least. I was surprised how cheap it was when I first moved here from Canada.

Rewe has Wasabi Chips (not Chio, their own brand). They're pretty tame though. Wasabi peas are much better.
