I got up at 6:46 AM (earliest in months) to get ready for a nice fun day of Band Camp!. I was greeted by a nice, massive, marching euphonium (not quite as fun as a marching baritone) due to its ridiculous mass. The highlight of the day I figured would be meeting the low brass freshmen.
When we were together during a water break, I yelled/asked "WHO PLAYS STARCRAFT?!?!!?"... a few of them weakly replied "I play StarCraft II"... I was pleasantly surprised given that around 3 people in band total played SC the last year. Upon asking their leagues/races however, I got responses "oh I don't play league matches"... There was one freshman however, who said "oh hey do you play ICCUP?"
My eyes went wide. SOMEONE PLAYED LADDER! I asked, what's your high rank? He said B-. I almost shit my pants. At the next break, I asked him about his race/builds. He said he played T but occasionally some Z. When I asked him about his favorite builds/what he likes to do for different matchups, he said something vague along the lines of "6 pool" and "get a lot of M&M"...
My hopes were dashed.

B- is the best rank to say u are because it makes u seem really really good, but the minus makes it lessens it a considerable degree compared to straight up B. C or C+ doesn't have the holy shit factor of B-, so he chose wisely.
you should slap him, however.

One of my friends who has played him before says he is definitely not B-, more like D-.

I've given up on trying to find friends irl that still play BW. It's just not worth the disappointment anymore T_T
I hope you're enjoying marching band, though. I always really enjoyed it in high school. Yeah, I'm a nerd, whatever.
