I even drew some pictures on MS paint lol... its pretty hard with a just a mouse.
But now its out and man, I haven't had so much fun playing video games for such a long time. Unfortunately I still have a lot of real life obligations, hanging out with friends, my evening jog, and work. So I haven't been able to play the massive amount of 1v1 games I always wanted to play. For the first 3 days I've only gotten in just under 20 games =(.
The thing I noticed is that its mostly the beta players who are playing the 1v1 ladder. So once again I got trashed in my placement games and ended up not being in the Platinum league where I belong >.<. However at least this time I'm starting up from the Gold League, nice improvement from Phase 2 where I had to work my way up from bronze. There was a lot of speculation around how the ladder would be after release. People were saying that you'd be bumped a league up from what you were in the Beta because of the large influx of new players. But that wasn't the case, it seems that most people are playing the campaign first. Then the new players that want to try multiplayer go for the 4v4s or 3v3s, not a bad idea if you're fresh blood to the SC2 scene.
Well I'm not too bothered, after all, getting myself rolled a hundred times in the beta kinda hardened me haha.
Looks like there's a SC2 LAN event going on in New Hampshire on Sunday, I really wanna go >.< plus there's a prize of 80+ dollars there! I have a really crappy CPU so even a 150+ dollar CPU would be a huge upgrade. I'm seriously considering not going out and not working out during the weekend to get some hardcore 1v1 practice in, I always wanted to have a straight up 10 hour practice session lol. It almost feels like I'm in some kind of shounen manga, where in the beginning the protagonist starts out as a newbie and tries to win the small local competition haha xD.
Well I guess I'll stop there for my first Starcraft blog.
