If you find that it can't keep up, I'd recommend a new mouse. 2000dpi is probably about the max of what you would need. To expand on what I've said here, the reason that mouse acceleration is awful is because it makes your mouse motion unpredictable. If you try to make a precise click to micro one unit or a small group of lings, for instance, you might not click the right unit and you may fumble around for a little bit trying to click it. It might seem like you're not being accurate because you haven't practiced enough, in many cases, but it's mostly the fault of mouse acceleration. Turn off acceleration, let your hands/brain get used to it, and you'll be amazed at how much more accurate you become.

you should never need a mouse with over 1000dpi unless you run Osu at like 2909x2397....1000 dpi is alot.

I'd disregard your post just due to the fact that you don't know enough about mice to talk, otherwise you would know that you could have a 100 dpi mouse that can go across the whole screen without accel.

Have you tried lowering your resolution? This is the only solution besides physically moving your wrist/arm more (which I find to be the better solution for osu since this tends to be more accurate for me.) You could also consider changing your mouse sensitivity settings, but this is less than optimal since you probably don't want to spend time adjusting to a new speed, and setting the mouse higher than the windows default causes it to skip pixels.

In Osu,yYou need have to get your mouse movement to be smooth and straight from one point to another, without ur cursor going on an uneven path..

I have a Logitech optical mini which I believe runs at 400dpi. Its great for SC1, but in SC2 it is very sluggish even when sensitivity is maxed, if I turn off mouse accel (smoothing), it jumps pixels at high sensitivity and is unusably slow when at low sensitivity. I have tried higher DPI mice and they work great, what am I missing here?
