Updated the Gahennas Battlecruiser a bit.
around 30% done. Added the first tiertary weapon set - Thermal lance turrets, nicknamed "Lava Knuckles". Long-ranged, precision point defense largely oriented to protecting the rear, front and lower engagement zones. I began detailing the rear, redid the Chains of Cerberus quad cannons, and some little bits here and there.
"Quick" raytrace of the central weapon systems. Chains of Cerberus quad cannons are on a revolving platform. Yes, a rotating set of barrels larger than most small fleets. The spinning motion creates a psychic vortex that rides the Hellfire particles into their target, completely paralyzing it. This is how the Gahennas Battlecruiser disabled large weapons created by the Gods. They are not so useful against mortal foes.

3ds max and a lot of moaning about sore hands (I hate carpel tunnel with all my many hearts).

Maybe if I knew how to uv and texture. Otherwise I'm going to have to just tile some generic plating on it and manually apply a glow material to individual faces.

The main cannon fires a giant crimson meteor of fire. I'll make an afterburn effect for it sometime.

I hope all you people understand how amazingly hard it is to do something like that. I recently spent several days modeling and texturing a spaceship and it turned out pretty well for me, but still something like 1/20th as awesome as this.
Very nice job, IskatuMesk.
And as you said, adding some generic plating and some materials will go a long way too.

Pretty cool, I'd really recommend learning how to texture though. Though this in its current form probably isn't suited for textureing with all the tiny tiny details it has, that in a textured model should only be details on the texture.
How many tris does it have total?
Oh and also, what is it for :D
