There's an International Olympic Committee that regulates the swim meets and yes they do put down a lot of regulations such as banning Speedo from future contests, for instance. I don't agree. What people enjoy watching is a well balanced RTS game. Blizzard didn't invent the concept of an RTS game, so they didn't invent the competition itself. Starcraft is simply a tool that enables competitors to compete. There are other, less balanced RTS games that people could compete with instead of using Starcraft. Similarly, while most people prefer to use a high quality mouse, they could use a worse mouse as a replacement. Your copy of Starcraft and your mouse are both tools. Now I'm not saying there shouldn't be a regulatory body for e-sports. All sports have a regulatory body and they serve an important role. I just don't think it is the tool makers that should be doing the regulation.

Speedo can't edit a competitor's suit if they come up with a new idea a few minutes before the race starts.

What I don't understand is that every progamer bought the game, and all the SC licenses used by Kepsa are legit. Blizzard is just a greedy whore.

Blizzard made SC, SC is swimming = Speedo made speedo suit, speedo suit is swimming Then it would be, swimming = games/RTS/esports in general Blizzard made SC = Speedo made speedo suit People use the speedo suit because it's a high quality suit. People play SC because it's a high quality game. the thing here is, SC can ALSO be the sport itself as well as a product. you can compete in sc, but you cannot compete in speedo suit. you would compete in swimming. tl;dr can't really make an analogy to swimming and speedo People use the logitech mini football mouse cause it's a good mouse/Bisu uses it. Voila, like a Speedo suit. You don't compete at mouse. And how is a speedo suit swimming?

Its stupid because if they go too far they strangle the community and it dies out, killing off their sales at a certain point - but they're probably not looking ~5-10 years into the future. Activision, for one, has never been a company that was particularly good at making decisions for a long time period, they're much better at pumping out shitty games that make a profit to start with and die within a year - but hey, in that time they've pumped out another 3 shitty games, so they dont care. The thing is, Blizzard doesn't have a chance in hell of actually enforcing this. No sane IP court on the planet will allow them to shut down an entire competitive community because Blizzard aren't making as much money as they could be in a perfect world.

CnC = Track and Field AoE = Cycling SCBW = Swimming Logitech/Razer = Speedo Mini football mouse = Speedo Fastskin There are many ways to compete (Video games) in racing (RTS). Swimming (SCBW) is one of these ways. Speedo (Logitech) provides swimmers (progamers) with swim suits (mice) so that they can compete against each other.

I think Speedo is in for some serious e-sports competition. I mean can you think of anything more streamlined than that glorious bald head?
