background story: i worked at an amusement park as a rides operator and because i didn't get along with the supervisor, i eventually decided to "quit" by not showing up for my shift.
Fast forward 4 years, at that same amusement park, i plan to apply for work in the security department (since i got qualified).
The problem here is that, should i put "worked as rides in your amusement park" 2000-2002 on it?
Will they check and call the rides department to check my background?
On the flip side, can I just leave it out? I believe i am not obliged to mention it?
Are there any downsides to mentioning that, or could I possible gain from mentioning that i worked there once?
Thanks TL (this has been plagueing me for quite some time)

that's a terrible way to quit a job lol. why not just submit your letter of resignation and quit 2 weeks later lol. i guess you were a lot younger then though.
anyway, 2000-2002 is pretty old history especially since you've probably worked other jobs since then. if you have enough info to fill up your page without mentioning it then do that imo
also, why are you calling it a CV? in the US/CA a CV is only for academia/medicine...

Is this Wonderland? lol i heard the work conditions suck there but you could have at least found a better way to "quit".

If you include it on your resume, don't include contact information. It's pretty simple. I've never had an employer ask why I didn't put down contact information for a company I worked for.

You propably know the best yourself if you should mention it or not. If you think they'll remember what happened then you shouldn't mention it.

It's usually best not to lie or put anything shady on your resume. I'd leave it out.

Leave it out just to be safe (hopefully you have enough other stuff on your resume).
Hopefully you won't make the same mistake again (resign from your jobs in a good light whenever you can).

I thought CVs were for academia as well, at least that's why I have mine.
On topic though, try to put some jobs down that you've had between then and now. That way you should have enough work experience down so that you won't have to worry about it. What exactly was the outcome of you never showing up again? Did they attempt to contact you in any way? That would be an indicator of whether or not it should go on your resume.

i put cv because on the title part, i didn't have enough space for resume.
and yeah i was pretty young and i didn't know better. i have learned the saying "don't burn your bridges" shortly afterwards.
no, it is not wonderland. XD
@thegilaboy, what happened was one day i just slept through my shift, they called me ten minutes after my shift was supposed to start, asked me why i wasn't here. i was lying and said "oh, no one told me i had a shift today.....*rolls eyes*" then the last thing he said to me was "oh, in that case, if we call you for a future shift, great. if we don't, we don't."
