why? If you get caught for a hit and run, it's serious prison time (halle barry's rich ass bullshit story is just 1 example of the corrupt judicial system)
If he stops, he's only most likely getting a bit of jail time lot of classses and fines. Plus, it's easy to stop when some guy just flew off a motercycle at your cause. You'd probably want to help the guy in case he might die.. (and it would add more severeity to your crimes)
glad you're ok. I've already known 2 people in my life that have died on motorcylces and at least a couple more who got really fucked up like you did. You're lucky man. You still gonna ride bikes after this?
