Okay I'm going to try to make this short to keep everyone interested. This is a little random blog but I feel it is very important for me to realize how hard I got hit.
Today, about 10 minutes ago, me and my friend were boxing. It was me and Chris Carroll up now. Both of us can box pretty good, we would easily destroy anyone in our school.
So we started and it was round one, both of us got good hits in. We stopped due to tiredness
So, as we go onto round two it is still pretty equal, both of us getting good hits in. Now, I just put my hands down for a second because of tiredness, and what do I get. 1 Hard fucking punch, straight in the fucking jaw. My fucking head made a turn and I think I saw purple, it immideatly started hurting like a bitch. I can say for sure that I was rocked and felt like collapsing. But the round was still going, and I got another hit JUST AS HARD in the same place. I didn't drop, instead my friends stopped it.
Now, lemme tell this, I fucking saw purple! Yes, just this purplish mist, and I was very zoned out.
Well, this might be an interesting read to anyone who likes some sort of fighting and its a blog so I guess I might as well post this.
Currently my jaw hurts like a bitch, but this is just going to make me stronger. I'm going to push more then I've ever pushed and hopefully get better at boxing.
Now, I want to ask all the TL boxing pro's a question. How the hell can I increase my accuracy? I noticed that I missed plenty of my punches, is there and type of exercise I can do to help with this?

The best thing in my experience is just have a friend of yours use some mits, or floor to ceiling bags are really good

mmm i would recommend doing more focus mitts(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Focus_mitt) and getting a better stamina, since that will probably make you not loose that much focus.
Also, you'll be missing way more if your opponent is taller than you. if he is, you should practice getting inside while keeping your shoulders up and then do some hip movements to punish his torso.

you would easily destroy anyone in your school? if you want to be a good boxer you should drop the ego first and foremost. then you should work on your cardio so you don't gas out after one round. never drop your hands either. and if you want to land a punch on big bad Chris Carroll, you've got to learn to read your opponents for openings and work on drills so you can actually land a shot when you see one. the best way to improve speed and coordination is drills. bag work wouldn't hurt either. go to a boxing club or something

stop sparring for a while, focus on training, you don't want to teach yourself wrong things especially with boxing.
