ok so, i have been streaming almost 8+ hours a day since i got my new headphones from my last blog and I would like to continue this however as many who watch my stream can tell, i havn't been preforming anywhere as well as i was before streaming. Last night i finnaly decided to not stream for a few practice games with a friend, and..... i played far better and noticed a massive difference in control.
then i pressed cntl + alt + F and BAM look at that, 70 fps (lets not get into optics and what the eye can reconize its irrelevent here) so i went after those 3 games (where i clearly played better and the obs were impressed compared to me earlyer that day... - -) and turned on the stream, did the good ol cntrl + alt + F and looky there... 15 - 25 fps tops... pro caster tells me the viewers are getting 30 fps ( i turned it down to 25 and my fps doesnt seem to change no matter the quality i set it to)
so my request to you guys this time is! ya.. fix it ? any suggestions would be awsome. But from this point on i wont be streaming during tournaments untill i can get atleast 30 + consitant fps, my game settings while not streaming can be ultra everything maxed with 50+ fps untill very large armies come together where it still holds 30+, i put it down and now im getting 70+ like i said with low settings (my computer is amazing, unless some piece of hardware is going out)
heres a few specs, 4 gigs of ram, 3 gigahrz dual core, 756 mb graphics card (geforce 8800 gtx?)

assign sc2 to one core and procaster to another core.
|
thx, trying that now, ill update if its fixed it or not
*EDIT* does seem to have reduced my frame lag, but any other suggestions would be awesome, the better i can get it obviously the better
|
This suggestion seemed to have worked at first, but it seems my frame lag is getting worse as time goes on streaming. but as soon as i turn it off, my fps is still back to perfect. i really dont understand whats going on.
i basicaly can't play while streaming now unless i turn it to low quality in which case everyone says its unwatchable.
i bring in atleast 100 viewers all afternoon, and upwards of 200+ if noone else is playing zerg or any event. so please, if you were a viewer and would like to see more of me, help me out, ive tried alot of suggestions and did alot of other things my self as well as checked the live stream forum. not to mention live stream keeps "reloading and suggesting i use lower resolution for desktop" which basicaly losses me games quite often.
any help is much appreciated by me and anyone who enjoys my stream. thanks

only a dual core i'd considering turning off refractions and putting physics on only high to free up some cpu cycles. I'd also consider putting your streaming fps down to 15-20 you don't really need that many lower fps = higher quality per frame, along with you can't do 30 fps on a free account you can only do 25 max probably reading it wrong.
|
k i tried setting my streams fps to 15, didnt see any change. Also my sc2 settings are all on mediam, with refractions off (so physics is not on high or ultra) still no change
any other ideas? i have a very good computer, im wondering if its a bandwidth issue? i have a 15Mbit connection with about 1.5mbit upload (to low? sometimes its over 2 on good days)
