i know that something bad is going to happen to me at night if i post something like this but im willing to take the risk.
you know that you are new to SCBW if you: 1. think that you are playing zerg no matter what race you are actually playing 2. you move command units into enemy territory without ever thinking of managaing them again 3. you use the arrow keys and you aren't boxer 4. you think that dark swarm is a spell put into the game for aesthetic reasons. 5. you rage at toss players that toss is imba after losing a pvp.
feel free to post your own. if you choose to post "if you make a list like this" please keep it to yourself.
cheers

6. Your first building is an engineering bay.
|
7. You place an evo chamber at the same time as your spawning pool in a 4v4 BGH game. 8. You go f*!¤in carriers in all free-for-all games and only attack players who got their forces away (yes im ranting )
|
7. Your first building is an extractor/refinery/assimilator. 8. You build a minumum of 10 cannons before gateway
|
9. You don't know a BO 10. You don't know what BO stands for.

Overgas ZvZ O_O I might experiment with extractor-> 12 pool lol->11hatch->12lair or something like that.

Overgas ZvZ O_O
Overgas ZvZ is pretty common, and also gas first for some 2-hatch builds ZvT I think? (Not too sure about that) I think I'm gonna see if I can do some gas first build for T or P

11. Your army consists of one of every unit

Actually a very common one:
12. You stop worker production when you have one for every mineral patch patch and then just start teching up.

15. You only scout with scouts.

Your army consists of lots of one unit

you get stuck on 10 supply for 56 minutes then finally figure out what a depot is and accidentally halt it halfway through and remain stuck on 10 supply for another hour until you realize you can alt f4
|
I use 3rd and I'm not Boxer (obviously), but I use arrow keys in every single game to scroll so yeah xD (Though I'll give a try to middle mouse scrolling)
|
You tell your ally to go 9 pool ... you check his base and you see 3 spawing pools and 4th morphin

You build 3 supplies before rax to "not worry about supply"

you think using the keyboard is for noobs. (I said that to my friend in 3rd grade.)

-You can't beat the computer. -You play on Blizzard-made maps. -You don't use hotkeys. Ever. -You upgrade every upgrade and built every possible unit and building. -You wall off your main with three Nexuses (Nexii?) -You keep all your overlords in your base so they won't die. -You sometimes take a few seconds during the game and wonder what you should do. -You try to make your supply depot lift off.

Numbered them for ya and... 6 is one I've seen many good players do. Especially in a (somewhat) recent help thread. These 2(maybe 3?) guys(Bish if I remember correctly) wouldn't admit that they were not using their overlords properly.
2 is one I do just to play against my nooby(as in been playing for 3 years but still can't get good enough to beat 3 computers) friends. The only non-blizzard maps they'll play are python(some like desti) and remakes of LT and blood bath.

you use the arrow keys to go across the screen
|
You wonder why your drones are turning into bloody pulps as blurry blobs move around.
|
No rally points, halt worker production @ 10, you scout but don't adapt, you don't scout after the initial probe/drone/scv, don't use hotkeys/group
|
You think dark swarm only works against air units (read the strategy guide anyone? )
|
-You didnt know you have to put marines in bunkers -You think the color on the mini-map is your color in the game -You think win/loss records on b.net mean everything -You think BGH is a non $$ map -You dont rally workers near mineral fields
|
On April 25 2010 13:46 Tenryu wrote: -You dont rally workers near mineral fields
I don't do this and I'm C on iccup. I find early game i have enough attention to just manually move them quickly, and mid game it gets really annoying if you have to pick out the non moving SCVs among your mining ones..
|
1) you just started playing SC:BW
|
you don't understand the concept of scouting
that's pretty much the biggest thing I see with people who dont know how to play lol.

You mass air regardless of the matchup or situation.
+ Show Spoiler +It does work pretty well in campaign.

You mass DTs thinking they're the best units ever since they're invisible, deal 40 damage per hit and look like ninjas.

what that just means you're zerg, or bad obviously, or cheesing which follows possibly from the two previous
i think one is like 1. thinking 100apm is really fucking fast

- you have 5 workers - your unit building decisions are based on "ooh itd be cool to have one of those" - watching a korean fpvod will blow your mind and change what you thought is standard/possible mode of playing video games .
