As for just PS3 games Metal Gear solid if you're up to date on the story from the other games is simply amazing if you're a fan. Infamous I thought was a pretty fun game and had decent re playability. Resident Evil 5 was pretty bad unless you have someone to play it with you. My brother and I plowed through it together usually drinking some beers or something THAT made it fun. I really enjoyed Heavy Rain, but even with all the endings I don't know how many times you'll really want to replay it and the game is not long at all. I DO NOT enjoy the new FF at all. It could be just me, but the first... 16-20hrs is so linear and so so sooo boring. I don't really like the dialogue and don't really care for the story either. I may be in the minority on this one, but do some serious research before you consider getting this game at all, but I think the best bet is to rent it or get it from gamefly. Wouldn't it be awesome for them to make some FF games that are like Heavy Rain in that the options you choose steer your gameplay? (If they haven't done it already, I have no idea. Haven't played one in a while). And yes, to reiterate, MGS is a GREAT storyline. ![](/mirror/smilies/smile.gif) It would be cool if they made one "like" a FF storywise, but not if they called it a FF game. That would enrage a lot of users. I think they can make more games like Heavy Rain, but just develop the actual game play aspect to it a bit more.

Fuck there are so many I'm sure I'm forgetting some but all of those I have played at least to some extent and they were all fun as hell.
cool list! thanks :o

PS3 games:
Demon's Souls God of War Collection + God of War 3 Devil May Cry 4 Darksiders MGS4 Killzone Burnout: Paradise Uncharted + Uncharted 2 ( 2 is a fucking amazing game) Valkyria Chronicles Resistance 2 RE5 Brutal Legend Street Fighter 4 (if you like fighting games) Infamous Both Ratchet and Clank Future games Heavy Rain Dead Space Dragon Age Origins Oblivion
Unless you have a specific dislike for the genre of one of the games I've mentioned above, these are all games I guarantee you will enjoy. Have fun!

Hey uh, if you get the hang of Oblivion, get the expansion packs...
unless you want to get bored as a level 40 Mage (or any variant) where you can't just die against enemies because of your spells.

no Resonance of Fate love in this thread? I'm not much of a RPG guy anymore but it brought me back to Grandia with guns (and fanservice) while I played it.

Most good games have been listed but i'll run down a few popular games that have I have been selling a lot. I work for Play N Trade.
Just Cause 2. FANTASTIC GAME! one of the biggest open world games i've ever seen. God of War 3 Dante's Inferno (pretty similar to GoW3) Final Fantasy 13 Assassin's Creed 2 Call of Duty MW2 - sequel to the best FPS game probably ever made. MLB The Show (if you're into sports) Borderlands - I think this is a great game for co-op its pretty long but its a fun game for you and your friend to play. Or just yourself also but I think it can get pretty boring. Socom: Confrontation - New game haven't had a chance to play it but its selling pretty good. Uncharted 2

I would get Just Cause 2 last, because if you are a perfectionist Just Cause 2 will take forever. I've invested 40 hours and only @ 40%.

Dante's Inferno is a terrible terrible game
|
Uncharted 2 also if nobody has mentioned it
|
Hmm my favorites on PS3 are:
Fifa 2010
Soul Calibur 4
Heavy Rain
GTA IV
|
Must-haves for PS3:
Uncharted 2 GoW FF13
|
If youre looking to just mess around on console games, people have mentioned enough already.
But if youre looking for a game that's as solid an investment as scbw, get on that Super Street Fighter IV =)
Mahhvel is always solid as well, but marvel was for 2000-2010, SF4 is the new decade fighter !

You didnt say what kind of games you are into. But regardless of that, there are some PS3 exclusive games that I consider must play
Uncharted 1/2 GOW 3 Demon Soul Heavy Rain LBP(if you have a friend/girlfriend to play with you)
If you like FPS, just dive right in with MW2, KZ2, Resistance 1/2 etc...
Some multi-plat games: Deadspace (a must if you're fan of RE series) Bioshock 1/2: 1 is actually better than 2 Dragon Age Fallout 3 Ninja Gaiden(if you love hack and slash games) FF13(not that good but its FF^^)
For PSP : Just get Monster Hunter and you are good to go ^^
