I'm referring specifically to the following trick: right click on gas, shift right click on gas, shift a-move. It's absolutely clear he did this because if he did the stack through any legitimate methods, the workers immediately unstack upon attacking. As you can see... He took out 2 of my dragoons by stacking his scvs and then floating them over.
Watched the replay, don't know why you're calling it a hack, just an illegal exploit. Didn't really help him much at all, your goon micro was hilariously bad, his first tank was ridiculously late and seeing a legit win with bc's was awesome. ty. Seems totally viable if you deny scouting, other person is maxed with 9 goons:30 speedlots and keeps pumping speedlots and ht's after scouting it...Should call this build the Deep 5 :D
Lol. No. I lost :p And I did have him completely owned! It wasn't that the goon micro was hilariously bad. stacked scvs glitch goons so that they can't move once attacked. Try it. It was critical, because had he not done that he would not have been able to hold off the attack. Regarding the speedlots.... yes. Good point.
Wait, is it illegal to do this with drones / probes, or just with SCVs? If so, does Kespa also consider it illegal?
I ask because I've seen Jaedong do this without penalty, and if it's the case that it's only illegal for Terrans to do it, there better be a good reason why!

lol. Yes. It's completely imbalanced with basically any worker. If you use this glitch, you can just win the game period with an scv rush unless your opponent does the same thing. It's a completely broken exploit.

So my question is then: is it illegal according to Kespa?
Game I'm thinking about: Flash vs Lucifer
@ ~8:20 flash uses his drones to glitch the zealots while attacking them - isn't he using the glitch?

lol first of all that's jaedong. second, that method is completely different from the gas stack bug. workers have zero collision when they are right clicked on geysers or minerals. jaedong simply right clicks different patches of minerals so they can phase through the zealots. the gas trick in that replay however, allows workers to attack in a clump all at once, which jaedong's method does not allow.
whats illegal is the shift move thing someone talked about earlier in the thread.
basically you can get 12 stacked scvs to more around and stack attack. drilling by sending them to a mineral or gas is different because it breaks up right away.
you can see a lot of the actual stack attack in fastest games lol.

Right, Jaedong. And thanks for clarifying the difference.
anyway BCs are so easy to kill in pvt. If they stack, and u cast 1 single storm, imagine the amount of damage this 1 storm will do to 20 slowmoving battlecruisers hahaha
