Everyone is going to give you hard shit for this, but I have no problem with that. The problem of inbreeding isn't nearly as big as people want you to think it is.

I don't get why everyone's hating on OP? It's unfortunate but the social stigma is a lot more serious than a lot of you make it out to be, especially within the past 5 years or so. Parents are a lot more paranoid on the whole these days (maybe even rightly so), perhaps not of their own relatives but OP's fears aren't unfounded.
edit: I could be wrong about this since it's something I've only "heard", but aren't there cases of like a father is beaten or something for playing with his daughter at a playground or whatever, because people thought they were pedos? Second is, is it weird to be alone in a room with your 10-year-old cousin? This is the more interesting question. I think it probably is a little weird. Think about it this way: when her parents come to get her, are they supposed to knock?

I think the question we should all be asking is whether or not the girl has a crush on him or not. It sounds like she's just acting as a younger sibling would with an older sibling.

If you're asking if its weird to be alone with a 10 year old cousin you might as well ask if its weird to be alone with any 10 year old relative, which can include your sister. In terms of family relationships I don't see how much different being alone with a 10 year old cousin and being alone with your 10 year old sister can be.
I doubt you would treat one that much differently from the other unless she was a complete brat and you hated her, but from the sounds of the original post it doesn't seem that way.
