So, after deciding to get on iCC for the first time this season, I first play a PvP. Goes well, I'm sloppy as hell but slay a random korean toss. Cool. Then come some 2v2s. First 3 go well sort of, win them. Then 4th game vs same team. Now, the protoss on that team is just bad. Bad. However, now my roommate has gone to sleep and the light is off. Being a keyboard chobo, I have no idea where the heck all my keys are, so my sloppy play becomes hideous: templars die without storming as I frantically try to search for the t key, dragoons and obs don't build as I hit the wrong buttons, wrong hotkeys, all kinds of bad stuff. But, we still had the game won... until....
While the terran and protoss were both attacking my choke on colli (and I held it off eventually on my own), my ally was building a carrier fleet. But, he lost it dragoons by A-moving in open ground and not moving away from the focus fire which ensued. Carrier fleet one down. Now he makes another carrier fleet sometime later, probably about 8 carriers. He loses those to cannons. FFFFUUUUU
Then he leaves.... and I am pretty much mined out because my macro was far superior to the other two players, who still have resources left, but my micro blew a huge one so I am kind of screwed. So, I leave. Now I don't like to blame losses on allies, but is it really necessary to lose two groups of carriers to dragoons and then cannons when that is all you do all game long -____-
/Sigh
Someone play 2s with me

you need the razer keyboard that lights up. ez win
|
that would be pretty nice yeah. I can type without seeing the keyboard, but it's just so weird and unnatural feeling when there's only one hand on it.
|
You're asking for a partner after admitting you don't know how to locate keys on a keyboard without looking? /pass
|
Learn to type without looking down. It isn't hard and is very beneficial.
|
I can type without looking down. It's just that it's been a while since I last played SC, so I'm not used to jumping from 1 to p to 2 and etc across various hotkeys with one hand. After all, when's the last time you used your left hand to hit p on a qwerty keyboard. Eventually my hand gets out of position due to hitting keys it never goes for while typing regularly. I'll probably get used to it again after a while though, but it was pretty disorienting tonight.

Yeah I think this just happens if you haven't been playing for a while. I mean I assume decent players that are in practice don't look at their keyboard in order to find keys, so whether the keys are lit up is irrelevant for them. I know when I switch keyboards or something my keyboard control gets thrown way the fuck off, so you probably develop some sort of muscle memory (probably wrong usage here) to the key locations on your keyboard.

Now you know what it's like to play in a dark LAN center. Except it's even harder for terran since we need more than just "a" and number keys.

You are whining about an ally who survived long enough to make 2 groups of carriers? I play from time to time 2v2 on Battle.net where my average random ally is as good as computer except that the computer is sending units left and right in attempt to actually do something, while my allies don;t :-)))))))))))))

put some black electrical tape on ur P key. If u have black keyboard then find some duct tape. Put some on your A to if you need to. This is what I do so I can feel where my probe key is and A is there so I can make sure my pinky comes back to its home key.
lol at the touche.

oh bro im tottally with you on this. I hate it when u've held 3 or 4 waves and they just sit in their base. Thats the cons of playing with pub allies nowadays. Its either hit or miss.

lol sad but true at times. Sairs my friend sairs.
Edit: Im a team player as well but only been playing a couple days a week for a few hours. What I have been running into lately is my god damn medics healing my allies infantry while my rines/bats are in combat on the otherside of the map.
