But apparently he distanced himself from it september 2008 Ha did you know this In 1997, an open letter to then-German Chancellor Helmut Kohl, published as a newspaper advertisement in the International Herald Tribune, drew parallels between the "organized oppression" of Scientologists in Germany and Nazi policies espoused by Germany in the 1930s.[68][69] The letter was signed by Dustin Hoffman, Goldie Hawn and a number of other Hollywood celebrities and executives Damn I always thought Hoffman was a smart man

7mk this video has nothing to do with religion so keep it out of it. To completely disregard the many points this very successful man expresses in this video because of what you think is a stupid/inferior religion is ridiculous. What if he was Christian/Muslim/Atheist whatever YOU believe, and he said the same things? Would it make them "more" true to you?

You can't compare these religions with the bullshit science fiction that hubbard has produced to accumulate money, if someone is part of that organisation than to me, it influences everything he says about spirituality and life. But since he's not part of it I apologize, I'm sorry for derailing the thread, really nice video, nice message etc.

"you gotta focus." ok, wow thanks Will. The only things that are of use are "you don't try to build a wall. you don't set out to build a wall. (...) you say 'I'm gonna lay this brick as perfectly as a brick can be laid and you do that every single day and soon you have a wall'" & "there is no reason to have a plan b 'cause it distracts from plan a" (nice xD) and what's all this universe crap about. well. if i feel unmotivated i watch something like this

Ok in Scientology one pays money to be saved by an alien. How is that any different from the middle ages when people paid penitence during confessions to rid them of their sins so they can be "saved". What's the difference between believing an alien will save everyone and believing an all powerful being in the sky will do it?

They are both bad, but one of them was, as you pointed out, in the middle ages, one would think that humanity has developed since those times. Also this among other things lead to the beginning of protestantism, which is after all not as retarded as catholicism. On January 15 2010 03:19 sassy wrote: damn 7mk, huge fail there. A lot of people dismiss positive information due to their inability to comprehend or accept things out of their casual circle. Even more jump to silly conclusions before even going through the topic.. Lol I don't even know what to say... Which conclusions are you even talking about? That I thought Smith was a scientologist? I had read that was the case several times just google it and you'll find lots of sites suspecting that to be the case. Now I know it's not actually true (although he was very fond of it at some point and supported it through several ways) , and I apologised for my mistake, said it was a nice video and a nice message. So what fucking more do you want from me? "A lot of people dismiss positive information due to their inability to comprehend or accept things out of their casual circle" lol tell me what exactly I didn't comprehend, tell me more about how great scientology is, or whatever the hell you meant by that
