Does anyone else just stop caring half way through games? I play a lot of games at D level (I'm D+) and theres a pretty large skill range, but most of my opponents are just bad. Like I'll play normally and they'll try to play normally and screw everything up a tiny bit (thats the thing, nobody does anything right at D, they do it almost right} and one thing will lead to another and basically I'll go and smash their first push/break the nat/deny the 3rd ect. and then... well then I just don't care any more. The fact that my opponent blows takes the wind from my sails. My APM drops a hundred points, my macro goes flacid and meanwhile they'll be in macro panic mode, adamantly refusing to leave. And from there it usually turns into Boxer vs Joyo (less awesome version). Is this just me? I've lost 4 games today because I just don't care about my opponent any more; is there a swift way to smash a 2 base opponent as zerg? This apathy is really pissing me off, I just want to play some good games (relatively

) at D+...

The reason they're still in the game is basically for something like this to happen. If you get an advantage, and then they lose another big battle, they'll usually gg.

I've never had this problem, so I can't really relate or tell you advice on how to fix it. I'm kind of the opposite, where I pick up my momentum when I think (or know) I have the advantage, and my macro and micro pick up, which often leads to an even more decisive victory.

But this seems to me like it's one of those problems where if you recognize that it is an issue, it's a simple fix to just stop doing it, yeah?

yeah i have this problem, my suggestion: expand more and make ultras :D cows are best lazyzerg unit^^ the other but more risky idea is to use defilers and kill him, but since u're D like me i assume you have a pretty fair chance of screwing that up^^

Yea defliers are to be used twice, once to get past his ball and once to push into the natural

, anything more than that and I'm wasting gas that could be ultras...

Most of my games are pretty intense. I think in my last 10 games through D/D+, about 70% of my opponents have actually been C- and above (from last season). You must have bad luck I guess, but yea... the fun of a game is heavily dependent on your opponent. However, I think you should try 100% even if your opponent is bad, because almost assuredly some of your timings are off, and you could be macroing better and microing better so that you lose less and build more.

Idk, I don't really get that feeling even if I'm playing a horrible player. It's practice for macro/micro anyway.

pick protoss and 2gate cheese against terran. pick terran and 2rax cheese against zerg. pick zerg and 4 pool against terran until you are C rank.

This happens to me when people do something retarded, like 3 gate goon into DT. I basically feel like I'm wasting my time to get the other person to leave, like playing against a computer and having to destroy every single building.

uhh... that's a lot of games... are you sure you're better than your opponent? maybe you need to better assess whether you are ahead or not. and saying they "adamantly refuse to leave" is stupid because they are obviously still very much in the game if 4 players (D level) have managed to come back and win it.

well u should start caring imo. If you have ever read Art of War by Sun Tzu, then you will know strategy is also based on in games situations. If your opponent thinks he has a chance of winning, then he will come up with a plan on the spot, and will sense your letting your guard down. Remember its not done until u see "*insert name here* has left the game". This mindset will also help to improve your gameplay/game sense.

I hate how the terran army midgame is so strong that you have to pussyfoot around it, delay it, avoid it etc till arbiters get out. I usually just say fuck it and attack the army when its coming out of his base. I lose a LOT of games this way even if somehow I have the army advantage.
