I agree Korean netizens are over-the-board always, and something really needs to be done. Yeah he deserves to publish an apology and suffer some guilt but to sign petition like commit suicide is a bit extreme

![]() The thing is, netizens take their e-rage into real life like 4chan members. There are a lot of times when they harass people and deface the group's van or something. But then again, he's Korean so it wouldn't have been as bad if some American said that while they were in Korea. On the other hand, that information is almost like a blog, its freaking personal information, sometimes people have their shitty days and vent out their stress there so it might have been a temporary thing. He was younger then too and who hasn't said or done dumb things when they were teenagers? It's really unfair, even if it was his fault for typing that out publicly.

Yeah he deserves to publish an apology and suffer some guilt but to sign petition like commit suicide is a bit extreme Jay is an American born who doesn't speak or know the Korean culture that well. He never had any intention of becoming a star in Korea. When he was near the end of high school, he did not want to go to college. His mom knew he had talent since he was a capable bboy and an average rapper. His aunt/mom (some say aunt, some say mom...) was the one that suggested he go audition for JYP Entertainment. JYP watched his audition tape and decided to fly him over. He spent 4 years in Korea without knowing the culture or speak the language. He went through hot blood training where it was pretty much a boot camp. Since 2PM's debut, they've been steadily growing popularity and attracting more fans. Jay is not a snobby white washed Asian that is only in it for the money because he is doing it for his mom, family, and friends. If Jay decided not to go to college, he would be in the states making less money he would by being in 2PM. I don't think Jay thought bad about Koreans or the country, but after what he had to go through, he just wanted to pour his rage on MySpace by typing up a blog. One other thing, many people criticized him for not deleting the comments and blog, but how can he remember what he wrote? 2PM are constantly training and doing other activities. He kept his Facebook and MySpace account to keep in touch with his family and friends back in the states.

Yeah of course since I have friends who try to add him on Facebook and MySpace (they're fangirls alright...) but the person hacked into his MySpace account after episode 7 of Wild Bunny. In that episode, Jay was showing his bboy crew on YouTube and his friends on MySpace. I don't have a MySpace, but only a Facebook. I know that you can't track your comments unless someone replied to it (unless there's a feature that I don't know about...)

At least Jay is back home with his friends and family where he can relax. I wish him the best of luck back home and his studies when he goes back to school. Actually the current Korean administration has been trying to push through a law which would essentially abolish anonymity on major portal websites for a while now... it goes without saying that this has been met with Intense opposition from basically everyone. It was fuelled by certain recent tragedies which were strongly linked with Korean Netizens, but at it's heart it's mainly a political thing.

You shouldn't reject the culture just because of a bunch of stupid netizens. Everyone is dumb on the internet. ![]() The thing is, netizens take their e-rage into real life like 4chan members.
