I want to be D again + Show Spoiler +http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UnhaB5ZHCsU Enfolding your love in my heart By the dawn I'll be gone The road keeps us apart For some time I'll be gone
You promised to swallow your tears when I leave you You promised to follow the leads I will give you You said you would crawl in the dark from the laughter You said you would long after me ever after
My love will grow black if your heart gets stolen Just promise to keep your heart One day I'll come back if the door's still open Just promise to keep your heart broken
Days go by like the wind And this life is too short It makes no sense to give in To release you from my thoughts I promised to write you, I'll always remember I promised to try to be back 'til December I said I must go, I must face this disaster I said I would come after you ever after
My love will grow black if your heart gets stolen Just promise to keep your heart One day I'll come back if the door's still open Just promise to keep your heart broken
If you just promise to keep your heart Promise to keep your heart broken If you just promise to keep your heart broken Broken
My love will grow black if your heart gets stolen Just promise to keep your heart One day I'll come back if the door's still open Just promise to keep your heart broken Forever and after my love Just promise to keep your heart broken

I feel like 'standard' play leads low level Terran players astray. Bio (vs. Z) and 1fac FE without starport (vs. P) both have long periods of time with limited scouting information, and very picky timings to avoid death/very long containment. Terran might be better served to follow builds which incorporate an early wraith (or dropship) to know what the opponent is doing, and when they can attack. Professional players can read very sparse cues to judge the opponent's build and current units, but at D/D+/C-? Not gonna happen. D/D+/C- players don't have all their own timings down, or the slick turret positioning that allows top players to survive vs. muta or DT drops... asking them to predict the opponent's timing is too much. Maybe when we get gosu, we can optimize the scouts out of our builds, because by then, we won't need them.

I don't agree with you on this post. I am typically a high C- / low C terran player, and at the C- level, its not that hard to maintain scouting.
In TvZ you generally keep your scouting scv alive long enough to check for either a 2hatch or 3 hatch build, and also to see when he takes his gas. This tells you to prepare for speedlings or a fast 2 hatch or whatnot. Any terran at the C- rank should be able to keep his scout alive long enough to see these things. Then when your academy finishes (not too much later) you will know what to scan and where. Scouting in this matchup is easy , just as long as you are capable of dodging 4-6 lings for a few minutes while in his base.
In TvP scouting can be a bit trickier because he can always just put his DT tech at a hidden spot on the map, and just fake getting dragoon range (upgrading air weapons). However, for the most part you should be able to keep your scouting scv alive long enough to see if he chooses 1 gate robo bay, or 2 gate range, or 1gate FE or w/e. Also, make sure his first dragoon takes a while to chase down your scv, and just as it's about to die highlight another one and click on his mineral patch (while its in view), and your 2nd scout will walk through his dragoon on the ramp (if he is blocking). This will 99% of the time catch him doing his tech, as he typically will start it right after killing your first scv.
These are ways to maintain scouting in the early game. Both work very well, and should be used. I have no problem scouting early on, and the only time im really caught off guard is if a protoss player makes hidden tech.
