hey there, so I was able to test the mousepad P-RF from zowie. A short video from themselves about the video is available here:
First off, a few information about the mousepad, from their page:
P-RF Feature : * Water splash proof surface , easy for cleaning * Works perfect for all mice * Right size for designers & gamers : 340 x 290 x 4 mm / 13.4 x 11.4 x 0.16 inch * Special designed non-slip rubber base * Pure cloth surface could be bent without damage
I've tested the mousepads for almost two weeks now, and I gotta say it's accurate and really great to use for FPS games, aswell as such games as DotA and WC3. The only two negative points, while one of them are certainly my own likes, are: The surface, I am usualy using a Qpad CT with a very smooth surface, while the P-RF from zowie has a bit rougher surface, not really making a big different, but I notice it. The other point, is a mousejumping, which I gotta say, only happens at one point: Mass selecting probes/drones/scv in the beginning of the game, it never happened to me at any other situation, nor SC mid/late games (with 250apm), nor in any other games I played, such as DotA, WC3, CS1.6 and normal computer usage. The mousepad is just as accurate as my Qpad CT, reacting exactly as I want it to, except for the mass spam in the beginning of an SC game (which might also come just from me, it might depend on how your mouse goes that way.. maybe my mouse floats a bit when I do it rly fast, idk).
Afterall I would suggest this mousepad to all gamers, who need an accurate gaming mousepad, unless they are especially looking for a really smooth surface and unless they tend to spam in the early stage of SC games. Though, I am really looking forward their new mousepad, which will be a CT, designed in coorparation with the CS gamer SpawN (they will bring out several stuff made with his help, and also HeatoN (seems to be a CS gamer also) teamed up with them, so expect great gear soon), some information about that are available here: http://www.zowiegear.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=67&Itemid=2

Seriously man, that was kind of pointless.
As for me, I'm not really too serious about mousepads. I have a really old one and it's fine for me. But I tend to believe stuff like mice and mousepad don't make significant differences to my gameplay.

You're joking right? LML actually bothers doing a cool review and that's all you can say?
Thanks for the info LML. I wish you'd mention the price though, since to me that's the determining factor for a mouse pad haha : ). Also, I think they went over the top with that "regular mouse pad" and "Zowie mouse pad" comparison... I mean I get better performance by using a piece cardboard than with their "random mousepad" :p

yes and these people are morons, especially those who care about mousepads, with mice ok they might looking good or feel comfortable, but wtf mousepads, its a fucking surface like you find anywhere if you dont like your table pick some trash with the kind of surface you want, therfore mousepads=trash
What the fuck is wrong with you Qeet? LML does a great job reviewing a mousepad, which people do care about, and all you're doing is saying mousepads a trash. Great, unless you have something substantial to add to a thread don't bother posting.
I will contact the guy for the price. I got it for free, to test it, so I have no idea what it costs. And they try to sell it in several stores, I will ask him as soon as I see him on msn
Also I think mousepads are better than tables, etc, if you have a good one. Otherwise they can make it worth (i.e. old IKEA mousepads;D )
I have been using a cloth steelseries mousepad for years now and a problem I have is that its really freaking hard to keep clean, its full with fucking skin of my hands and shit haha millions of white dots and its freaking hard to keep clean. I would really like to test this out, some of the tests seem kinda .... Would still like to try it out

pls tell me how i can remain silent if people support this industry who manufactures mousepads for around 0.50$ and sells them for 20$, its fucking disgusting, sure they had to invest something to start it, but really selling them for like 40times of their real worth???

hahahahaha are you stupid? Pretty much EVERYTHING is sold for 40x its real worth or more w/e. You think a Intel processor costs 200$ in materials? Its probably 0.25$ max or something or a fucking guitar or desk or ANYTHING.

HOW CAN YOU REMAIN SILENT ?!
im sorry, i didnt know that the knowhow and initial investment of manufacutring flat boards easily compares with that of manufacutring processors LOL
if you didnt know, theres already an industry for mousepads, but they dont sell it under that name, and you can get several square meters of "mousepad" for the same price of one tiny "real" mousepad if buy it there, other industries use that for their own products you OK?
tho, don't forget: I do not recommend this for SC, as the mouse jumps a bit, early game mass-spam while selecting the workers, which is still kinda annoying ingame:o A new mousepad and headset (both made in coorperation with the CS1.6 gosu SpawN) are comming in mid september, and I am looking forward to those, especially the mousepad, as it is a smoother one, which will then work perfectly for SC, and any other game. Also: good mousepads beat tables and whatnot by far, easily. It's a huge difference, you don't want to miss anymore, once you experienced it. A good thing also: usualy the good mousepads live for ages, and you don't need to worry about buying a new one ever again in the next decade;)
