On the dota2 wiki front page there were reminders for the community about what still needs work. Is it gone because the dota2 wiki was switched to the new look? I'd like to see them come back. Two things that could be listed in the reminders are: -the 6.75 patch notes changes. -(how the heroes ultimate changes with Aghanim's on the hero page.) edit: not missing for everyone but I did notice a couple i think
edit: the radiant/dire heroes start overlapping each other on the hero page when the window doesn't have a minimum width.

Oh right, thank you, I forgot to also make the community portal, this is where you'll be able to find that info + other like hopefully similar things we have on the SC2 wiki. Like discussions, to-do list, and a list of projects.

Hello I don't know if it's best place to put this, but let's try
I was tinkering with tournament pages a little and until i got to brackets everything was nice and easy. Now editing brakets to put team logos along with team names there looks like pain. You have to find team logo and resize it.Example: |R2D7='''[[File:Navilogo_std.png|link=|38px]] Na'Vi'''
So I have two ideas how to solve this problem, and make putting logos in brackets easier. I don't want to "just do it" because it could create too much mess.
1st idea: Create template for each team with resized logo, something like {{TeamSmall/navi}}. It could also be parametrized to bold winner automaticly, like {{TeamSmall/navi|bold}}. pros: fast and easy to do cons: need to create this template for every existing team and then for every new team. With 4 {{Teamxx/navi}} templates (Team/, Team2/, TeamShort/, Team2Short/) already it creates even more mess
2nd idea: Modify bracket templates, so after you write |R1D1=navi it will automaticly put resized logo and team name based on {{Team|navi}} template. pros: more complex solotion cons: harder to implement (I don't know if I could do it), there could be problems with backward compatibility
What do you think?
EDIT 1' idea: We could change all TeamShort/xxx and Team2Short/xxx templates to use smaller icons. That would make a lot of sense.

Could someone please review the NASL Season 4 pages, there are a week worth of updates waiting. Thanks.

Consider it done (because I just did ) Unless I missed some pages?

Hi there,
Phamut's profile page has for some reason now included 'Evilguy13' in his name. It looks pretty messy and is, of course, inaccurate (evilguy13 is a UK caster).
We are on Skype trying to figure out how to remove Evilguy13 from his profile page, but I'm getting really stuck in the editor. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi, BounceDJC, the problem was due to the fact the "Infobox player" was missing an "id" parameter. When it is missing, it is by default the title of the page ("User:Evilguy13/Phamut"). I fixed it.
Edit: By the way, Evilguy13 was the person who created the article Phamut. For lack of notabilility, the article was moved to the "User space" of its creator.

Thanks a lot, I do my bit to try and edit as much of the UK scene as I can. It's so intricate and I don't have much experience with the actual workings of the wiki.

Quite a few tournaments now run sc2 and dota2 now but the tournament pages aren't *linked*. An UI option to link the tournament pages would be nice. Nicer than linking it through edits imo which I think I will start doing. Something that ties into that is that when you want to switch liquipedias (bw>sc2>dota2>bw>...) you have to go through liquipedia portal. Three links in the sidebar wouldn't take up that much more space.

Since it's a wiki it will always be done within editing the pages (rather than changing the html form in some way where we need to rewrite the php) that would make it harder for us when we want to update the wiki software.
There is the alternative to connect the wikis like Wikipedia connects different language wikis, for the same article. (but this is also done by editing)

Where do I report bad information in the wiki?
|
You can do it here, or you can fix it yourself (there's a meme somewhere else in this thread that our great leader linked, heil salle!)
|
I tried edit it myself but it says I do not have permission.
I'll try to find that meme!

You just need to log in first before you make the edit. There is a Log In button the top right corner of every page on Liquipedia

Don't know if it has been mentioned before but sometimes I find brackets that are incomplete in Liquipedia but when I try to add the missing information I find that the source code already has all these information. So the information is there, it's just not displayed properly for me. Does anyone know why that could be? An example would be the latest EPS cup in which two quarter-final games have not been updated although the source code shows that both monchi and hanfy advanced from their matches.
|
What you screenshotted there (who screenshots code?) doesn't show either of them advancing, they're both in the semifinals, they both advanced from the quarter finals, I don't think there's anything wrong here.
|
I don't know if the problem has something to do with me so it wouldn't make sense to just give you the link to the BRACKET, so instead I made a screenshot...
And what I screencapped was the upper half of the bracket, showing two of the four quarter-final matches. Both matches have no result posted, and still according to the source code Hanfy won 2-1 against Hazed and monchi won 2-0 against Biphy.
edit: The problem occurs in different browers btw, so it shoulnd't have anything to do with the browser-cache.

Oh, there were pending changes on the page it appears, if you aren't an editor your changes have to be approved, and thus will show in the wiki code but not on the page, if you log in you should be able to see this.
|
You're right, after logging in I can see the updated results.

Hey guys. Signed up to simply say this. For some reason, on your Dota2 Hero page on your wiki page ( http://wiki.teamliquid.net/dota2/Portal:Heroes ), next to Death Prophets head image on the left hand side, there is a random "!" symbol there. Obviously nothing major that will break your wiki page, but you going to want to edit it out Would edit it myself, but I don't know how to edit wiki pages, and I'm not in the mood to learn just to simply edit out a "!"
