I can feel myself getting pretty heated over this. I'm glad the P6 ban got reconsidered. Because since it happened the thread has been mostly arguing over whether it's okay to joke about shooting immigrants, and I thought it was mostly clear that P6 was being sarcastic. If you're going to action him in earnest, you should also be actioning folks who think what happened at Trump's latest rally was defensible. That comes very close, for me, to being like "well actually Hitler had some good ideas". The discussion is playing with fire, and something we just simply should not be tolerating.

The last 2 day temp an became a two hour. Maybe a week ban is about half a day.

You see, I did this cool thing where I explained the context of my post to seeker, but also said I understood he decided on the ban because I was not overwhelming clear with my sarcasm. The rest took care of itself, likely to the disappointment of the person who reported me.

I don’t have much of an opinion on Xdaunts ban. But his passive aggressive swipes at people was bound to get him in trouble at some point. I’m not really convinced this was the moment, however.
I got banned because Seeker could only see my post and not the context surrounded it. I was unbanned once I explained it.

Actually I have one report in 10 years, and that was for a martyr's post many years ago to get me a 100% ban report rate.

I don't see the problem. I read the quote train, it was getting heated. xDaunt felt he was being misrepresented and said that, in a direct, yet fairly polite manner. I mean, it would have been better if he had just stopped responding in a totally pointless argument, but then again, that's on both sides for going at it.
If any action, they should just both be warned for having a heated argument in the thread instead of PM.
And just for the record: I agree pretty much entirely with NewSunshine on this entire thing.
