Why don't you just fuck off then. Nobody is making you read this.

Possibly because you, among other people, are shitting up the politics thread, and also letting part of that discussion spill over into the feedback thread in a very unproductive way, poisoning a thread that generally does have more reasonable strings of discussion that are worth reading.

Whereas you are just bitching about a discussion that you don't like. If you don't like a discussion don't take part in it. This is a forum, not every single discussion that takes place has to involve you or be pleasing to you. If you see a discussion you don't want to be involved in then simply skip it. Complaining that you're reading stuff that you don't want to read is a really fucking stupid complaint to make to the person writing it.

What you're doing is continuing a particularly shitty strain of discussion that is consistently one of the worst that the thread has to offer, and doing it both in the main thread (where it isn't great, but also fine since it is actually relevant to a discussion that can be worth having), and here, where instead of providing feedback about the thread and perhaps a ban associated with it, you're just letting the discussion that led to the ban spill over into here.

Hell, my one-liner post wasn't even directed specifically at you, or even all that much at the discussion in here (which has been only 2-3 pages, even if it isn't particularly productive from your end). However, you decided to throw a hissy fit, throwing out a shitty "if u dont like it just leave" and went about it in a more jerkish way than usual for an already pretty stupid statement. The fact that this discussion has been consistently terrible and continued for many, many pages, is really quite tiresome and that's what I was really trying to address. My other posts were mostly about why I think the issue is as it is, and why these discussions tend towards the stupid flame war that they end up becoming, which is rather the point of this thread.

No more point in discussing a one liner, so no more on this matter from me.

I do sort of wonder who most people would rate as the most level-headed and likely to be good mods for that thread. Most everyone gets into the middle of unflattering discussions sooner or later if they stick around for too long.

I just wanted to say this all was propagated out of Jonny. Due to his post count he was able to get away with saying total crap (coincidentally once he actually found a clever way to call a black poster a "monkey" without getting so much as a warning).

That tone lingered after he disappeared and came back as (I don't remember).

Also xDaunt actually brought up "racial realism" and TL's still pretending he's not being overtly racist?

Is this a discussion thread or website feedback? What's the point of this subforum if people are going to shitpost about random things for 4 pages within one day?

Seriously though, the past dozen or so pages are an excellent microcosm through which non-American posters can get a sense for how troubled things are here.

That really is part of how I use it, like, the thread functions as this great amalgamation of all the trending thoughts and topics in the context of american politics. Whenever I see norwegian political pundits talk about the american political situation, and this is like, a rule without exceptions, I think 'yeah, this matches my experience from the megathread'.

Honestly, the US Politics thread might well be described as "US Politics from a Euro-centric perspective." Most people there are not Americans, and most of those who are aren't the pure-bloods you would find as the majority of the population.

aren't most of the more regular contributors american? Some exceptions sure, but if I were to guesstimate I'd say 80% or posts or so have american origin? Either way you all do a good job representing the less pure-blooded points of view - and if the majority are significantly 'more american' than what that thread is representative of, it's probably a good thing, from a 'create mutual understanding for the betterment of the world' point of view, that those voices are rare.

While not everyone is labelled; I'd guesstimate it's more like half of the posts are american in origin.

I once did a poll, Trump vs. Hillary, for non-Americans. The response rate was 2/3 of that for the "Trump vs. Hillary" poll for all members. I think a majority of the passive viewership of the thread is European, and a lot of the active posters are American because they know more about what's actually happening within the country, obviously.

Also, a lot of the Americans are half-bloods, i.e. immigrants. Including myself.

ya I said posts rather than posters for a reason. GH and Plansix have like, 13% of the total posts between themselves. If going by posters, then yea, agreed, but most of the high-frequency posters are american, and looking through some random pages, it at least seems like 75% or so of posts are posted by americans - even if regarding Kwark as british.

I wish someone had snapshotted the poll results the morning after so that we could compare.

I PM'd R1CH. We all know what it looked like before, a brigade isn't going to suddenly convince us that Trump's performance was anything other than what we all saw. Part of the Trump strategy seems to be to deny reality at all costs, it doesn't matter if everyone saw him have a meltdown, just deny it and claim victory. In the mean time we'll see what R1CH can find out, if anything, about the people doing it.

8 Hours after the debated started it was 80/20 for Hillary.
It ignores such insignificant forces as time, entropy, and death

Probably someone trolling so that it would look like Trump was rigging polls. Sad really.

Can TL track IP's? Kwark mentioned some time ago that he can't but how do you find PBU's?

Anyone with even the slightest knowledge of TL forum culture or our US politics thread would know rigging the poll would be stupid if it was 80-20 for Clinton of a day and a half after the debate. Google-ing around I can't find any post asking people to brigade on our website so its probably someone with access to a spamming tool.

It's logical to assume a Clinton supporter would do it 'to prove a point' looking at the reactions in the thread. Maybe they posted with their VPN or IP changer still on, thats why I'm asking if TL has access to the IP's of individual posts in that thread.

Thank you!

and zeo, it's just.. it's such a conspiratorical way of thinking about it, it makes me feel like you need more occam's razor in your life. I agree that trump supporters rigging the poll would be stupid. I just think the idea of democrats rigging it in Trump's favor because then they make Trump supporters look stupid because only stupid people would go around rigging internet polls is more stupid.
