Now I'm really, really interested in what the unethical solution is XD

how about, if post count is <100 images are automatically spoilered?

Those pics were pretty bad and I support any sort of control that would stop this from happening.
Like others have said it's an easy exploit that can hit a large number of people at once. I don't follow LR threads as they're actually happening much anymore...but something like this is getting me to consider dropping the habit completely.

Maybe it's just me, but I think TeamLiquid can afford to forsake ethics just this once to get rid of this despicable a person.
I wonder if it's possible to contact his ISP about it or something like that. But then again what he's doing is not exactly illegal. And even if it were, if this guy lives in Russia or maybe a third world country, the ISP wouldn't give a shit. :/
Either way I still support this idea, as well as any other idea whose goal is to deal with this no-lifer. It's hilarious yet sad to see how hard he tries to do damage to this community, almost to the point where it seems like if he cannot browse TeamLiquid his life has no purpose whatsoever anymore.

ISP and IP related things won't work because of proxies, although there are javascript tricks you can do to block proxies, the easiest and most robust way is by post count

So yeah, it would make some people annoyed.

- Make it so that the 100-post limit for posting embedded pictures only exists for Tournament threads, with the OP excluded.
All the issues solved.
Now whether this is possible to implement or not, I have no idea about. I know nothing about web design.

I like this, no one ever embeds images in the tournament forum anyways except for OPs, maybe all image embeds in that forum should be spoilered besides OPs of course

yeaaa that shit is pretty disgusting, please use one of the excellent suggestions in this thread! I don't want it to taint the GSL finals for me!

I think it has happened at like 10 separate occasions now. TL, take actions.

Agreed, TL could also impose different rules for each section of the forum. It's clear that these trolls are going for the most popular threads, so maybe the post-limit is only necessary for General Forum, SC2 General and SC2 Tourneys.

Yes plz do something about this. I was sitting with my 5 year old son in my lap scrolling the MC vs DRG OSL thread. Its disgusting, and if my son mentions it to my wife i will have some explaining to do ^^

I wonder why TL doesn't just impose a rule like: - If user has <25 posts, and his post is reported >2 times within 5 minutes of posting, then hide the post pending approval by moderator or something like that. Obviously any solution should not affect teams and tournaments making OPs, but there seems to be plenty of suggestions that could help with the problem.

The problem isn't going away. Where do we need to sacrifice CPU's to the altar of RICH for some magic to rain hellfire upon this shithead?
The report button does not function in the way mentioned in the quoted post, but it could. The problem is, a lot of people would still see stuff even if all it takes is a few reports. In a LR, people are F5ing constantly.
