~~~~~~~Spoiler Alert~~~~~~~~~
Your feelings?
I’m happy, very glad. It’s a great feeling after winning a big tournament. I want to keep this up, and not make this a one-time only thing.
In the beginning, it appeared that you were nervous.
Actually, I wasn’t nervous at all. It wasn’t the first time facing Reach, so I wasn’t nervous. If it was my first time, I would imagine I’d feel more pressured.
Critical point of the matches?
The third match. Reach predicted my strategy and decisively chose to fast expand. So I decided to counter expand and stretch the game. Throughout the game, I thought I was behind (note: he actually said passive) but never for even one moment thought I was going to lose. I knew Reach didn’t want to attack any time soon, so I didn’t feel as pressured. In the end, battles were every where. After I successfully protected my 3:00 and 9:00 expansions, I knew I was going to win. I’m confident with my late games.
Your practice partners?
Team-mates. I studied the matches between Reach and Chojja to prepare as well. As usual, ForU practised with me until late night yesterday, and for that, I’m very thankful. I would also like to thank Free[gm] who also helped out with my practice.
This was your first time in the final of a major league, how did you feel?
That’s correct, it differs a lot from a normal game. I thought I was going to be nervous, but surprisingly, I was calm. It is a very good experience.
Your mom came to the stadium to cheer you on, say something to her.
When I first decided to become a progamer, she did not oppose, instead, she gave me a lot of encouragement. Now I can finally repay her for the trust she had in me.
After the matches, you closed your eyes…
I don’t remember. I thought I was going to cry if win the title... But tears wouldn’t come out.
When did you think you were going to win the title?
When I fended off the Dragoon rush in the fourth match, I knew I had won the title.
Who did you think of when you won?
The fans, friends, mom, and my girlfriend.
Recently, people like to call you “Genius Zerg”.
I don’t deserve that title, and don’t we already have a Genius Terran? It’s better than “Little Bear” (or w/e) at least. I don’t like that one at all, I already succeeded in my weight-loss program.
