It's a much deeper problem than just his commentary delivery. He just doesn't have a very high level knowledge of SC2. The Idra vs. TLO commentary just made me cringe. He thinks that Idra with 20 more drones and 40 more supply than TLO is somehow behind at 14 mins. The games were good, Crota just needs to really learn about the game if he wants to become a successful shoutcaster.

Good effort by him though, I do appreciate the time and dedication he puts into his commentating.

Cool weekly. Good to see TLO is getting better!

Nuubcast is so damn awesome. Anyone taking it seriously enough to critisise the delivery or the content really needs to step back and realise that some vods are entertainment, some are serious analysis, some are learning resources. This one is for entertainment. Clue is in the title.

But just so you know, I think the criticism that has been leveled in this thread thus far has been aimed at Crota for his casts of the machinima invitational. Personally I don't think Crota gets enough credit. He probably works harder than any other SC2 youtuber; has a family and unrelated full time job. Nobody puts out more SC2 content. His style is somewhat rigid, granted, but I doubt anyone else has the amount of pure information (unit dps, harvesting efficiency, etc) off the top of their heads like Crota does... but like you say, his is not purely for entertainment purposes...

Not to say that we at NuubCast are not above criticism. We know we can improve a bunch - in every aspect!
