Figured one of these is always useful.
* So who are the Korean invites going to be? Is it just going to be Team Liquid in Korea, some oGs house-mates and BoxeR/NaDa?
* Anyone who saw the production level on the last two TSL's (portraits, intro spots, website, etc) will be as excited as I am for this TSL.

I'm excited! I bet the korean invites will be oGs players, just because they'd be easiest to reach.

There are 13 korean invites. This is just my speculation.
I think that 5 are pretty easy and I would be shocked if they were not invited.
The Locks
1. Liquid`Ret 2. HayprO 3. Jinro 4. HuK 5. EGIdrA
After the locks, the next group that is likely to get invited would be the GSL winners. All 3 are very good, and have decent fanbases. They would give the tournament a lot of publicity.
The GSL Champions
6. FruitDealer 7. NesTea 8. oGsMC
That leaves us with 5 spots left
The next group that are likely to receive invites are the Broodwar legends. BoxeR and NaDa have such a large following, that it would be surprising to not see them invited. Not only are they very impressive, they will demand a lot of views. A wildcard for me here is July. He is definitely has been improving a lot recently and won a golden mouse in BW, but he has accomplished less than BoxeR and NaDa in SC2.
Broodwar Legends
9. BoxeR 10. NaDa * July
After these invites, teamliquid could go a number of ways, but I would think they would look at easier to reach players like oGs. Any oGs member could receive an invite, and it's hard to speculate on which member would get it over the others.
oGs Members(This is all I recall off the top of my head)
*Gon *Hyperdub *Cezanne *Zenio *InCa *Ensnare *TOP *TheWinD
After looking at oGs, another group is just other talented Korean players. This list is top Korean pros that are excellent and haven't fallen into the previous groups.
Korean Talent
*RainBOw *MarineKingPrime *Rain *Genius *HongUn *Maka *TesteR
The last group I'll look at is other foreigners in Korea. The First is TorcH. He is in an interesting position, because he is on STARTALE, but hasn't accomplished that much. Another is Artosis. Obviously he is likely to be a commentator, but he could be invited as well.
The other Foreigners
*TorcH *Artosis
My final list of who I think will get invites.
1. Liquid`Ret 2. HayprO 3. Jinro 4. HuK 5. EGIdrA 6. FruitDealer 7. NesTea 8. oGsMC 9. BoxeR 10. NaDa 11. MarineKing 12. TesteR 13. Zenio
Edit: Looking back for some reason I forgot about MVP. I'd put MVP over Zenio if I could do it over. Also I forgot about Loner, so he may fall in somewhere so that China has a player.

The only foreign players who I would call 'locks' at the moment would be Jinro and IdrA. That picture can change dramatically in the upcoming months.

Since they seem to be stressing out the fact it's Asian rather than Korean invites, I'm pretty sure Loner will end up in that category.
I do agree on all Liquid players in Korea + Idra being "locks" though. It would make no sense to not invite them.

Ahh good point, I was pretty sure I forgot a few people.
Just want some damn discussion, seems like there is no hype for the TSL3.
Another big question is assuming that they take 4 commentators like TSL1/2, Who will be a co caster with Day9, Chill or DJWheat. I'm assuming Artosis/Tasteless will be the other duo. I'll be a little bummed if Chill isn't casting since Chill/Day9 was the best duo of TSL2

Tester has a history of participating in invitational foreign tournaments. I also think Rainbow's more likely than MVP for the same reason.

I listed Genius, I just don't think he'll get an invite. I forgot about MVP for some reason. Pretty funny since I thought he would actually get invited. I'd put him over Zenio for the 13th spot if I had to do it over.

Don't forget about CellaWerra. Not one of the best Zergs but extremely well known on TL.

Genius won Blizzcon, which is reason enough to invite him over TesteR, unless he can't play for some reason. I think Loner will get invited instead of another Korean for Chinese participation.

Well Im not as excited about the korean invites as I am about just having another (and first for SC2) TSL. Hopefully the games will be super exciting. And Im really looking for is an Tyler (aka Nony) vs Idra rematch. Gonna be so epic if it happens.

Is it possible they gonna invite a player from china someone not naming loner? Like xiaot and lovett both play on the korean server with high ranking. How about MoonGlade since he is playing under sea server.

No invites for the SEA server I believe, just Korea and Taiwan.

I agree for the most part. I think they'll invite HongUn over inca, and Boxer over Loner. Probably Hayder invite before July.

Haypro Huk Ret Jinro Idra MC FD Nestea TOP Zenio Boxer Nada

I really wish they didn't use the invites for Koreans on people in TL or foreigners. The case can definitely made that they deserve the invites, players like Jinro, IdrA, Ret, etc are awesome, but I kind of want to see more Korean players against people in Europe and North America. I've seen IdrA play top players in NA and Euro. I'd rather see someone like FruitDealer or HongUn or MC or any other high level Korean play the top players that get a spot in TSL3. Most of the foreigners in Korea do have the skills where if they were invited, it would make sense and be perfectly reasonable, but I guess I'm more interested in how some of the Koreans play against people on the NA and EU servers. :/

Wait is it confirmed that foreigners are eligible for those invites? Are foreigners in Korea not allowed to participate in the qualifier tournaments then?

Foreigners in Korea are eligible for invites, and they will not be allowed to play in the EU / NA qualifier tournaments.
