1) Do NOT promote your own stream in this thread. You may create a separate thread to do so. 2) Do NOT post in this thread to request a streaming site / channel change.

Streaming on TL So, you want to have your stream listed on TL? That's great. But please consider if you are willing to put the effort into running a recurring show, providing insightful commentary and in general putting the time and effort into making an interesting and successful stream that people will want to watch. It takes a lot of dedication to run a successful stream and we don't want to have to remove you after 2 weeks due to inactivity.
Requirements and Information
- You must be a member of TL for at least one week. You can check this by going to your profile and clicking "View Public Profile".
- Your stream must be hosted on livestream.com, ustream.tv, twitch.tv, dailymotion.com, gamecreds.com, hitbox.tv or goodgame.ru.
- The title of your stream will be the same as your username. Use the name change thread if this isn' t what you want. Custom stream titles will not be given on request.
How To Apply / Edit Existing Stream Click here to apply for a stream. Existing streamers can also use this form to apply for a site / channel change or to associate a thread with their stream.
How do I get a stream thread? Post a good thread in the User Streams Forum about your stream. Include enough content so that the thread could stand on its own without being attached to your stream. Include things such as what you will be streaming, your rank/race, VODs of particularly interesting parts of your stream, a schedule if you are planning on streaming regularly, etc.
Once you've made your thread, use the Apply / Edit form (linked above!) to attach the stream to your stream description page. This process has to be approved by moderators also, so please be patient after submitting your request.
How do I stream an event? Once your stream is approved, you can go to your stream control panel (top left) and set Event to the event you are covering. You should only do this if you are either playing in or casting the event. Note that you MUST set this back to No Event once you are done covering the selected event, failure to do so will result in your stream being removed.
How do I get a flag on my stream? Flags are only given to commentary / casting streams and will not be given to players. If you meet this criteria, please use the 'Contact Us' link at the bottom of the page with a description of who you are, what you cast and what flag you would like.
If you have any other general questions about streaming or the application process, please post in this thread. Don't post just to ask why you were rejected or how long it's going to take to get approved. Please avoid PMing TL Staff for topics that are covered in this thread.

I can almost picture Chill crying with joy...

Hopefully I'll start to remember to switch my stream to online mode from now on :<
What are the general rules for getting removed for inactivity?

What are the general rules for getting removed for inactivity? Yeah I'm curious about that too, the own3d.tv API with TL is all buggy so I haven't done any streaming since it just reports me as offline then the TL bot spams me for having my stream marked as online when its offline even tho its online >.>
Kudos on the changes in policy though seems much better than the old system!

Oh no, its started. They are replacing people with bots! ARGH!
Aside from that, good job. This is going to make chill's life so much easier.

I'd recommend ustream or livestream in the meantime. It works fine for some people but not others, I don't know what the correlation is.

Oh wow, this is so epic, Chill is now taking requests for concubines to fill up his free time. Naturally he's once again overwhelmed with PM's.

Love the change, having a problem though.
I submitted a request to change my stream URL to: http://www.justin.tv/janook The TL portal is trying to stream from http://www.justin.tv/j Which isn't a real channel. Somehow, the 'anook' got lost.
When I try to resubmit a changed URL, the submission form says "you didn't make any changes'. Hm.

Hey guys, my name is Tim aka Multiboxing, and I'm an Administrator of Justin.tv, and of course a SC2 player (and streamer!).
I just wanted to drop a line here offering assistance that you may have with streaming. I've put together a tutorial that a few thousand people use for streaming ultra high quality here: http://multiboxing.com/forums/f2/exact-way-stream-fme-jtv-read-1116.html
To see an example of 1080p full HD 5000kbps quality that tutorial allows: http://www.justin.tv/multiboxing/b/275444223 (Don't laugh at my play, I was messing around )
If you guys have any questions on how to stream, what specs it takes, how to get things set up, please feel free to post. I'll try and check this thread a few times a day and offer whatever help I can.
Cheers!
Tim aka Multiboxing

Is it possible to change the name of the stream (how it shows up on the right sidebar)? Currently named CSL stream, I'd like to change it to hazelynut if possible.
