More details to come -- I will post another thread detailing how trades will work, and that thread will be where you will post the trades you wish to make after each week. I can say that it will work very similarly to the way you are familiar. A big thanks to pschiu for the great idea for how to easily implement trades! Please post details soon...knowing precisely how trading works could have a big impact on how the initial fantasy team members are picked.

I'm trying to make a decision.
Jaedong + OZ, or one of free/Soulkey (and which one) + WeMade?

In giving this suggestion, I'm assuming WMF won't do to well. In reality I'm not sure how they will do. In other news, I decided to put Jangbi on my team as a show of faith, because no one can be horrible forever. If only I had space for Stork, but Bisu/Jaedong/SKT are all point eaters.

By my count, last round's scores would have bee:
WeMade: 17 points OZ: 5
But Jaedong plays every game and is ace, so he would have posted 39 points to free/Soulkey's 27 - exactly offsetting.
What I'm thinking now is that OZ is likely to improve (if anything), while WeMade and the players in question I think will stay fairly stable. On the other hand, if OZ doesn't improve and hits bad luck, they'll go badly negative. So the question is how much to gamble.

Oz would have gotten +5 in R1, while WeMade would have gotten +16. Jaedong got 2 more wins than free, so free + WeMade would have been better than Jaedong + Oz. I'm surprised at how close it is, though. Jaedong would have been +33 last round while free was +25

Is free/Soulkey more likely to play ace games(he's not a favorite to win against any of Kal, Bisu, Jaedong, Stork, Fantasy, or Flash), or is Oz more likely to win a few games? Jaedong will outperform any Stars ace with ease, especially if his team does well. The other factor is rainbow socks, but WMF is so unpredictable these days. But I'd go with Oz just because Jaedong will always bring in points no matter what, and no one else is expected to do the same.

Excuse me? There was but one player with 10-0 record in R1, and it wasn't JD...

Excuse me? There was but one player with 10-0 record in R1, and it wasn't JD... Yeah, Bisu is my favorite by far. But Jaedong is the most consistent player of all(doesn't slump), and I was mostly comparing him to the other 2 choices. And Jaedong is going to do a hell of a lot better than SK/free at any rate. Who you choose really depends on who you like more(I chose both), they'll both win 50 games this season unless something stupid happens. Also, SKT is probably just as likely to win before the ace as OZ is to not get to the ace, and there's a fair chance that Fantasy will be ace rather than Bisu, but for Oz it can be none other than JD.

Well, they used to send Killer into ace too, and now Hiya seems to be getting out of his slump so he also might be a valid choice for them.
|
I hope they realized that they probably would've made playoffs if Killer didn't play all those aces, and Hiya can only play ace in special cases. It's either mediocre A class players or the one S class on Oz. An easy choice in my opinion.

Meanwhile for a measly 1 point more Flash continues to crush _excellent_ players, is on a (at least theoretically) deeper team than Oz and is a guaranteed ace unlike Bisu.

so wait how long is Flash's ace game losing streak now?

well THEORETICALLY i mean it's like HYPOTHETICALLY

Haha I love how the fantasy PL discussion just deteriorates into a rabid fanboy discussion about whether Flash, Bisu, or Jaedong are the best and how they should be on every single team.
The best part about fantasy leagues is someone who was on fire can turn to shit when you need them most and someone who's been ice cold, let's say Jangbi, can turn it on and go on a huge win streak out of the blue. I just pick players / teams I already root for so I'm extra happy when they win. =)

I've always went with my heart when making choices for my FPL team. That's why I have Flash on anti and my main team consists of people who kick major ass.

The rest of Oz actually showed some signs of life in Round 1 too, which is refreshing.
I almost put ForGG on my anti-team because I'm not a fan of his, but then I realized I could not be a retard and pick someone who isn't practically guaranteed to be fielded every match or at least has a worse record.
I should probably sub Ssak for Reach because Reach is manly. Ssak has a chance of playing a few games, which is a chance to lose a few games. Just gotta have faith in SKT players, I guess. Go go gadget fanboyism!

Great job integral! Point costs seem to be very well assigned compared to previous seasons. Other than maybe Horang2 for anti, I don't think any player's too good or bad a pick by value. You truly do have great understanding in esports science.

I put players I like on anti and players I dislike on main, so when they play, I win no matter what. The all-or-nothing approach leaves me way too moody when things go wrong :p
