G'day from Australia guys. First up wanna say I love this cast it's funny and incredibly informative, u guys have the same sense of humor that I do so it makes driving to work at 5am that much more bearable. FYI the Commonwealth refers to countries that are still attatched to the British Empire as part of a Commonwealth eg, Australia, Canada, India ect.
Anyway I wanted to know what you guys think of the current match up of PvT? I completely agree with the statement one of you made that a lesser Terran can beat a much better Protoss. In my opinion I feel the match up is almost broken as Protoss has such a small margin of error. If protoss goes Collossus against Bio-Ball all Terran does is park Vikings above and pretty much attack move. I feel the Vikings range is far too large and makes Terran almost lazy. I mean how many Aces can one race be dealt? Lets see Orbital Command that allows you to call down Mules, Increase Supply Depot and Scan just from the one building :-/ And dont get me started on Point Defence Drone, Take the most powerfull spell Darkswarm from Zerg in Broodwar rename it Point Defence Drone and give it to Terran??? Come on! Sure it may not be exactly the same spell but I dont see how its fair that Terran has the luxury of so many opening builds plus the comofort of picking up their buildings, having the orbital command preforming 3 functions instead of 1 like Broodwar. I am biased as I'm Protoss but it doesnt take a genius to see how over powered Terran is.
Anyway keep the casts coming guys I rate you 2 up there wih Husky, Artosis and Tasteless.

Thanks a bunch veovis!!! and yeah tvp is pretty retarded at the moment i feel. We'll discuss it when we read your email on the show this week
|
Been listening to your guys show, this cast and state of the game have become regulars for me, please keep it up. Make the shows as long as you want and I also enjoy your broodwar updates.
I also wanted to ask for your guys point of view on the transition of the races from broodwar to sc2, mainly zerg losing overlords with detection, hydras being lair tech, no lurkers, no scourge and no defilers. Did it change the race too much or are zerg better without them?

Hey friends. With the GSL season 3 brackets being released today that means we just launched our GSL season 3 bracket challenge!
Head over to our website for rules on how to participate. As I stated on the show you will need Microsoft Excel to fill a bracket out. We will be recording another special bracketology show similar to what we did for season 2 along with our regular episode this week.
I also wanted to say thank you all for the kind words and for listening, it means so much to both of us. every e-mail, team liquid post and itunes post we have received we have either responded to or read on air so don't be shy!!! I love all you guys

I'm always going to pick the player who knows how to boogie
Between the awesome random representation from GuMiho and the inevitable huge number of mirror match in the round of 32 and possibly 16 too i think this will be an interesting gsl.

Another thing I noticed that I think you guys might not know, maybe Murray found this out since he picked TSLGuineaPig, but he also played in GSL1 ro64 under the name EternalPrime. He had a ridiculously unfortunate draw in GSL1, playing FruitDealer in the first round.
Also, I believe Max was a lower tier BW player and early member of STARTALE (aka ST.Superstar); not sure if that was mentioned, but it seemed like you guys assumed that he was a random.

Joels here. Murray my boy you did a fine job and I appreciate the recognition in the podcast but that doesn't make up for the fact that you made me play with crappy SC2 partners all cause you had to do a podcast...Marty and Borg we should do a vs! Murray and I VS Marty and Borg
What does everyone think? I would like to do it just for kicks I don't care if I lose I am probably so weak compared to you 2 but hey why not it would improve my game.
Well I am off to play hockey our national sport...oh wait thats Lacrosse...or is it both??
|
Hahahahahahahahaha I like your sig, and sure we can play 2's even though me and Marty never play 2v2 anymore and have no strategies together lol
|
Send in my GSL3 picks for the challenge :p Fun contest~
|
yeah, we're really enjoying all the attention it's getting. however, sorting through them all is gonna be a pain in the ass hahaha

yeah the Korean players change their IDs too much. the first thing I did when I filled out my season2/season3 bracket was try to find out who they were but some of them I couldn't find or just skipped over.
thanks for pointing this out though

Episode 11 is UP NOWWWWWWWWWWWW

Hey guys really enjoyed this weeks cast, you did pronounce my name right. So psyched with the response you two had to my question/statement, especially enjoyed getting Marty fired up! haha I completely agree with Marty about EMP Im surprised I forgot to put it in my rant. Dont really see how its fair that storm does 80damge over 4 seconds while EMP does 100 Shield Damage plus remove all Mana instantly after it hits. I dont know if this would break PvT for Terran but I think EMP should be like storm and do damage to shield and mana over time which would give Protoss units the ability to retreat and re-engage faster instead of just getting raped straight up. What do you guys think? NexGenius FTW by the way!!! Cheers,
Kind Regards Veovis

Good work chaps. Like having something like this to listen to rather than boring radio.
|
Woohoo, new episode is up, and there's a bonus too for GSL preview!
Great way to start my Monday at work.

Listened to 5 minutes then turned off. Biased whine fests are not interesting or informative.
