It's laughable. There will be people who'll upload videos on youtube and that's it.

This seems like as much of a recipe for failure as C&C4. I don't see this working at all.

All of those cost me 50$ a year, and the contracts to get those for the TV station is sure much much more expensive than the total amount of the prizes and costs for holding that tournament. It's just hell ridiculous that Blizzard is expecting people to pay that much for 1 tournament, it's pretty much as ridiculous as asking people to pay to watch BlizzCon online. As people above said: Blizzard is abusing "eSports" for PR.

I voted maybe and the reason for this is that even though I would gladly pay a monthly subscription fee to watch some high quality e-Sports, I have my reservations about the quality of the stream. I pay to watch TV as well and that doesn't bother me, but the production quality and picture resolution is much higher than 500k. The people who categorically stated that they won't pay to watch people play a video game or clinging to the days of yonder where everything was free and only hardcore nerds bothered to watch shouldn't be allowed to watch e-Sports. People keep yelling at Gretech and Blizzard that they only want money and that this isn't going to grow the community. You all seem to want a great e-Sports scene but refuse to do ANYTHING yourselves. Like little kids only thinking about yourselves and what everyone else should be doing for you. Valid points are the price being too high and the quality being too low, but as for not wanting to contribute to e-Sports one day being big everywhere like it is in Korea, then go and watch football.

The main difference is, this is WAY more than anyone pays for TV. This is more per month then I pay for TV, Internet and phone. In 3 months of watching this I could have bout the game twice. Day9 will pay it so I will just watch the dailys.

Considering Blizzard is using GOMTV to run their esports in Korea. I'd say it is unlikely Blizzard has nothing to do with it.

I would never spend money on GOMTV without donating at least the same amount to Day9 first, because of the amazing job he is doing for free.
