If they're really bent on charging for the stream, you can be sure that they'll be using their full weight to search and destroy any pirate streams.

Oh YES YES YES! I'm so happy that i have to pay for watching such a magnificent, action packed game like StarCraft 2! I'm so happy, that I can conribute to developement of e-sports by paying XXX$ that surely will be spent as salary for pros and stuff! I'm so glad that i can support such a great company as Blizzard and so many well known players! I feel as proud as i would if i had to spend my last money to watching game of the polish national football team, and be sure that money will be spent for the betterment of the polish football, cuz wonderfull PZPN will surelly know what to do with this money. Just immagine that- watching such exciting, fast play as polish football team is capable of...

i think its a good move by GomTV, that way i don´t even see myself getting any kind of interest in the korean sc2 scene BEFORE they start making it expensive, by just making it expensive right at the "amateur" level of the game. ESL TV gives me three months of live video and vods for ~10 bucks. doesn´t seem that expensive anymore. PLUS the hundreds of free streams for other US and European SC2 events. There are enough good games to watch, and already some pretty good players outside of korea. If i want to see a terran beating IdrA i just watch the VOD of the IEM finals for free.
Sponsoring vs Pay per View. It´s basically a no brainer to decide what is better to earn money and reach the community.

Go Pirate Streamers go!!!

I just hope to see some TLOwnage outside of GomTV...

Hope someone gets my point, raging in a foreighn language was not my best subject at school

For 50$ I could buy many things that will be more entertaining than watching other people play a video game that is unfinished at the moment. If I were to pay 50 bucks to watch a football match, wouldn't I enjoy it more if both the teams were roughly as good as eachother? The fact that both teams have the same chance of winning makes it more interesting to watch. I wouldn't want to watch a boxing match between different weight classes, would I? At the moment, Terran is a weight class over Toss, and Zerg is even lower than that. Yes, a lightweight COULD theoretically beat someone like Muhammad Ali, but it would be pretty difficult to do that, wouldn't it?

Anyways, stupid analogies aside, it's too early to charge 50$, if they should actually charge that much at all. For 50$, why don't I just save up for another copy of starcraft? I could make an alternate BNET account and play against Koreans. Or better yet, pay for a Korean class, so I can understand what those Korean commentators say, and watch for free?
