(Virtual Audio Cable) but normally it should work if you have the stereo mix option right? it's kinda stupid though. i might just start streaming without gamesound or something like that. meh.

Your mic will now come through your speakers (headset). The reason you want to use a headset is because your mic will feedback on regular speakers, making for a terrible echo. addendum: i see alot of newer posts since last i dropped in here. for the majority of you, please try livestream procaster before this ustream/justin.tv method. procaster is ridiculously easy to set up and use, and cpu-to-quality performance is quite good for most users. just play with the bitrate and resolution settings to find what's best for you.

I had planned on having a guest commentator tonight for a local tournament who would solo-cast the whole thing. Any ideas on how i can get skype to not try to send my voice at all so it will let me hear someone else? The error i'm getting is 'problem with recording device' or something along those lines. Or do we need to use like ventrilo? Thanks in advance!

The stream shows just a black screen... any ideas? This has been my problem since beta. My screen shots are always blacked out as well. Any ideas guys?

anyways, i WAS having trouble with ustream/FMLE/vhscr cap, but i seem to have fixed them by using total biscuit's settings. there is no point in having vhsc capture at 30 or even 60 fps if you are going to stream at 20 fps...capture with vhsc at 20 FPS. Q6600 @ 3.0 gHz/4 gb ddr2 1066/wd caviar black 6400AALS/1920x1080 native res output to: 1280x720 @ 20 fps 1000 kbps upload Co-commentary tutorial. Let me start by saying this solves 2 issues. First, when I use my mic from my computer that is streaming with stereo mix, my viewers cannot hear me at all. However, they can hear my co-commentators. This strategy solves this issue. Second, this strategy allows you to get MANY co-commentators on a single stream. 1. Set up stereo mix appropriately, adjust volume settings for the game 2. Download Skype, all commentators much join a conference call 3. Ensure that the conference call is audible through the streaming computer. DO NOT plug your MIC into the streaming computer, you must join the conference call from another computer or MIC. Your cocasters/commentators must do so as well. 4. set up casters in game, and GO! also, working on a tutorial on how to get webcam view in the bottom/top right/left corner like PsyoniC has.

I´m having some trouble with my streaming. I´m using a laptop with the specs: Quad Core i7 1.6ghz (turbo boost to 2.8ghz) 6gb Ram, and ATI Mobility Radeon™ HD 5650. It runs Starcraft 2 on High with no problem, even with FME on but i kick it to medium just in case. Well, i can´t seem to get good quality rates or image. I´m using VH camera and FME, and even copy some user settings but for some reason it has some freezes. No flickering cause it´s in windowed mode, but it´l lag a bit like "unit move stream freeze, units move a bit more, stream freeze" etc. Usually: VH 60 fps - FME H264 max input res, (30-60 fps) - 1280x1024 on output, 1000-2000 bitrate. I am linking the xml of my stream too Anyone know what´s wrong?
