1. yes, the combo still works fine. Hence the bannings xD
2. the best combo package is probably:
1 Reveillark, 1 Mogg Fanatic, 1 Body Snatcher, 1 Body Double, and 1 Carrion Feeder
It uses way less space than the package with disciples and stuff.
If you want to read about how it works, check out this article:
http://www.starcitygames.com/magic/vintage/15566_Innovations_CounterbalanceFlash_in_Vintage.html
as for other cards which improve the decklist, Brainstorm, Merchant Scroll, Summoner's Pact, and Pact of Negation all seem like cards that you'd want to run.

1. yes. the functionality of flash (which is what the combo is all about) wasnt changed after being reverted to the original functionality. 2. certainly. theres a great lot of cards coming in with every set, and i am sure you might find something useful. (its hard to be specific here, its really a lot of new cards)
theres other ways to get the combo going aswell, you dont need disciple+0-artifacts. kiki-jiki, mirror breaker+reveillark+karmic guide/body snatcher/body double+carrion feeder+mogg fanatic takes up only half the space in the deck and leaves room for some blue library manipulation. if you want this deck to be as strong as it can get, you dont really want the turn-0-kill-option. you just want to have high odds of killing on turn 1 or 2.

Ooo, that's enticing. But does it give a consistent average <1 kill? And it's kinda very expensive...
Edit:
I see. Ahh, MTG cards are so expensive. I was hoping to not spend upwards 500 bucks...
|
Heh, MTG is expensive in general. I don't think it's worth getting a copy of a deck that's not legal in any format =\

Just reading about Magic the Gathering makes me be able to smell the freshness of opening a new pack.
It has been too long. Oh god why????

4 lotus petal 4 pact of negation 4 summoner's pact 4 merchant scroll 4 elvish spirit guide 4 protean hulk 1 simian spirit guide 4 flash 4 force of will 4 mystical tutor 1 kiki-jiki 1 reveillark 1 body snatcher 1 body double 1 mogg fanatic 1 carrion feeder 1 karmic guide 4 Brainstorm 4 gemstone caverns 4 street wraith 4 serum powder
Maximum chance of Turn-0 kill? (within reasonable card prices, i.e. no power 9/moxen/dual lands)

nerd.
jk, i wish i could play magic again, haven't played since sixth grade

If a turn 0 kill is all you care about then you should just max out on simian spirit guides, since stuff like brainstorm/merchant scroll etc. doesn't help you kill on turn 0
it'd make the deck a lot worse though
A version that doesn't care about t0 kills would kill t1-3 with disruption/counter backup pretty frequently and be a lot better
also, I don't think you need slots for kiki-jiki/karmic guide. If you want to make extra sure you can combo out, just add another body snatcher for the rare case that you draw your first body snatcher AND a combo piece. The kiki-jiki kill doesn't let you win on turn 0 anyway right, unless I'm missing something...

before it vanished it was used with slivers the most iirc. Google for a list that uses slivers.

Haha I remember this shit blowing up when I used to play, almost every deck at that Legacy PTQ was flash. Good times.
