this makes no sense.. all the setting are the same as they were during beta, I got a fast computer, 5850hd OC`ed, i7 920 OCed to 3,5ghz, 6gigs triple channel ddr 3 ram.. my screen res is the same as the game res 1920x1200. do you guys think this will be fixed ? I will turn it on windowed mode for now.. but whats the difference between that and full screen then ?? it must be in some way less then normal full screen right ? I just wanna get everything out of the game that I can so having to degrade because some bad coding or whatever by blizzard is not cool at all.

People do not really seem to read this thread, it has been mentioned several times already :S .Alt-tabbing is nearly instantaneous when using Windows (Fullscreen). Edit: @Juvator: Windowed (Fullscreen) provides the exact same gaming experience as Fullscreen.

EDIT: Window Max is NOT the same as fullscreen. It'll give you the freedom of tabbing, at the cost of performance.

Right now I'm with Nvidia and I have no problems, but seems kind of unfortunate that ATI still has this problem with some users EDIT: Window Max is NOT the same as fullscreen. There is a performance hit, it is not the same at all. Everything is the same, your frame rate might drop a little bit. The difrence however between 60 and 55 doesnt matter mutch anyways. For me it didnt since it was capped at 60 anyways.

Whatever though, if you can survive the hit, which varies on different machines, then why not. You still shouldn't have to resort to playing in this mode and taking a hit on performance especially if your computer is more than capable to run SC2 on the highest settings, and cannot alt tab in fashion.

It used to be fine on Beta, where it only took a second max. Now everytime I alt tab to window, I need to wait good old 15 seconds staring at the black screen. Anyone else has this problem? And has anyone found the cause or solution? I had this problem. I dont anymore. My desktop now has the same resolution as sc2 and alt tab is a breeze. One time when I exited sc2 my resolution was changed to the same as sc2 and I never bothered to change it back.
