first Topic I start here !
With the Beta in a break, I spend some evening playing around with the GE,
here is the first bunch of map i make.
I don't think they are perfect, but some may be fun to play, (maybe not in a competitive way !)
I re-work on a lot of them to correct small bug like mineral patch placement and make some news one..

Since lot of people dont even look on the external link to the big pictures, I make a small one for each one of the map, and add some description about the map and the goal the design.

4 Players map, the goal was to make a FFA map for 4 players (the map is set up for team too, but it's wasn't the goal here).
Lot of small pathway, and LOS blocker in front of your base, and a lot of Xel naga tower (too much for 1v1 i think)
Breaking destructible rocks make the distance to your enemy closer, but weaken you because of the position of your main's ramp.
(I correct the mineral patch, not like in the picture)
your third is an island, so, you need to be terran, of tech to drop.

2 Players map, with a "scrap station feeling, bug much more difficult to take your natural, even with the "long" rush distance. a lot of chock point.
Lot of xel naga tower, but inaccessible without destroying the rocks, and undefendable HHmineral. You CANT play ase usual on this map. (that's maybe the main "focus" on a lot of my map, so they aren't as balanced as you'll hope)

Main focus : Insanely long rush distance with close air position. maybe the least playable of all map I have done, too much cliff, corner, and strange destructible rocks !
your third had only 1 gas, but their is a gas only expand !
You fight for the water supply of an industrial world, so I try to get a "urban" feeling ... not really satisfied with it yet...

It's not an Island map ! but almost ! A mineral heavy asteroid with long thin pathway, multiple route bug too long rush distance.

Straigh path to your foes ! Design for 4 player FFA, 2v2 and 1v1. Xel naga tower to spy on the natural of the other players, or do some badass move with imba tank ;-) maybe not balanced, but should be fun to play with friends.

Well... I was playing around with custom tileset and strange lightning, Find this one funky, so i made a map, not really for 2v2 or 1v1, mainly 4 players FFA. the central moutains full of mineral is useless, too much expand everywhere, but it was more a joke than a map !

1V1 map. not so hard to take your natural, but you need to defend a the bottom of the ramp or even more in the middle of the map !
