As TL develops, we often add little features to the site that might not be immediately noticeable. I thought a changelog would be a nice way to bring these out in the open.
Recent and not-so-recent changes:
* date and time tags allow you to embed dates and times on the forum that are auomatically converted to the users local time zone.
* The TL Calendar now uses the proper time zone name for DST / Summer time and also displays your local time zone if set (user profile).
* You can view the post history of a user from their user profile by clicking the "posts" link or searching by username on the search page.
* A report post feature has been added to report bad posts to the moderators.
* ustream / livestream streams now show the viewer count in the tooltip on the sidebar.
* The blogs page (from the top navigation bar) now shows only blogs with recent posts, sorted by rating.
* The "View last 20 posts of all blogs" feature has been removed.
* Picking non-Korean pro-gaming teams in your profile is no longer possible (wasn't intended to be this way).

I have a lot of complaints about these and I think they are going in the wrong direction:
"date and time tags allow you to embed dates and times on the forum that are auomatically converted to the users local time zone."
This is really stupid. Things were better the way they were. People outside of the korean timezone just got a power boost and are OP.
"The TL Calendar now uses the proper time zone name for DST / Summer time and also displays your local time zone if set (user profile)."
This is such an attempt to appeal to the casual tl user. Users who are skilled at TL are used to the old system and don't want this change... it's just making the site easier for the noobs to use and making posting less competitive.
"You can view the post history of a user from their user profile by clicking the "posts" link or searching by username on the search page."
This is bad also. It doesn't really affect me but really good posters need to be able to hide their posts from their opponents. The only way to train now is with a smurph account but guess what... TL bans you if you try doing it! Total bullshit.
"A report post feature has been added to report bad posts to the moderators."
Oh great. So now any US East noob with 1 year of sitting on his ass at TL.net can report me every time I say something that he doesn't agree with. Imagine everyone on the blizz forums having the ability to ban their opponent from iccup after they lose a game. Terrible decision by tl.
"The "View last 20 posts of all blogs" feature has been removed."
Teamliquid really needs to stop removing features that people actually use and focus on removing things like the 10 commandments which nobody actually reads. They should spend their time developing new features that are nearly identical to the traditional tl of 6-8 years ago. Anything new is generally bad, as time is showing.
It seems like they just can't update their site like they used to. Here's a list of recommended changes they should make:
1) Add a preview button to blogs
2) Make sidebar order customizable
3) Allow custom signatures and avatars with 800x600 images
I'm starting to lose faith in tl. They should bring in the old guys who used to work on tl back in 2003. It's just becoming a noob post-massing site where the winner spams the most shit.
I'm sure some morons are going to come in here defending the changes, but most posts should be either discussing the ways in which the changes are retarded or suggesting new changes that we come up with randomly without any actual understanding of how TL works technically.
