Well I've been without Sc(2) for almost 3 weeks now, ( ) coming home soon within the next few days though! can't wait to get back to the beta get my diamond league back and learn some new stuff. Maybe even a training season with one of the gosucoaching guys .
But so far the time here hasn't been that bad been pretty fun hanging out with the other guys with my unit, watching movies, drinking, (mt dew for me ), talking, and stuff. First week was pretty dry from the 5-12 was like all class room stuff learning how to set up tents and a TOC, tactical operation center, where all the stuff goes down basically. Learning how to set up the computers, radios, satellites etc..
Then the next week was actually setting it up for good setting up everything, terminating cables, plugging in all the cables, running all the cables.., assigning the IP addresses, dns numbers, for like 20-30 things (took forever lol). that lasted for the next week.
The last week has basically been the other guys from my unit doing battle drills as i sit in my little commo room as i monitor all the computers making sure nothing goes wrong, and running around in the morning turning everything on. Busted my ass pretty much.
Doing PT every day, and doing extra when the sergeants wanted to do extra (me being the only one to do it). Eventually (today) my efforts paid (today) when i got a Brigade coin from my brigade commander (first one :D) for doing an outstanding job basically (or basically doing an E-5/6's job while only being a E-2 soon to be E-3.) After that we started tearing down the tent unplugging all the cables, unrunning everything, all in a military and organized manner, (wish i could just tear it down and just through it all in a box t.t).
Although I have missed my girlfriend, friends, sc2.. the most (sorry baby ) its been a blast and now i just can't wait to get home in the next few days, just gotta make it now ^_^.
P.S. Only 4 more months till i deploy for Kuwait
I'll post a picture of the coin if i can find one!

Really cool dude, sounds like you know your shit. Is this the type of work you will be doing in Kuwait when you're deployed?
|
Oh please Idc if I'm only second after sc2... to be perfectly honest... you are only second for the same reason on my list haha btw you have to make up your missed gaming. You better be expecting to play SC:BW/SC2 w/o anyone stopping you haha

good to hear it was pretty fun and that u'll be back soon, yo jeremy! It's actually been awhile.. or seems like a really long time.. it might have either seemed longer or not quite as long for you, since u were pretty busy.. i'm sure u're the better person for it though and I just know that u're anxiously awaiting logging in to B.net @ SC2.. its a good thing u're still gone though, because u woudln't be able to get any games in atm anyway, blizz keeps patching it, causing the servers to be down for a good 5-6 hours.
I might have to join the Army/Reserves.. f'n Air force is dicked and Navy is taking wayyy to long to do anything.. but I mean, it is the government we're talking about.. they take forever to do anything ><
