http://www.chess.com/ For anyone interested, let's play. You can play either online chess or live chess. Online chess is really slow, sort of like emailing moves to each other. Live chess, is like, well, live - like USCL or ICC.
I'm actually in a locked in a really intense battle against micronesia right now, but I'd like to challenge all of you chess enthusiasts to a faster paced 1 minute (as opposed to the current one week) game of live chess.

The thing I hate about moest of these sites are that they aren't real-time. I can't stand snailchess. I remember I used to play on a website that looked more like a poker/casino-ish website, but that was 10 years or so ago.
So with that, can I ask if this website has real-time chess, with alot of opponents?

I'm CrazyInsanity, just made an account. Looking forward to playing you guys, lets see what you've got =). (Expert level USCF)

For serious tactics training I would recommend chess.emrald.net. The difficulty ranges between super easy and very obvious one-move puzzles to very difficult problems with several moves. In my opinion by far the best site to train your tactical awareness.
There have been two chess tourneys in the past on tl.net, both organized by The_Spike if I remember correctly. While the first was really good (OnePageMemory and SR17 battling it out in a nice final), the second tourney was unfortunately never finished, partly because both tourneys were played out in single-elimination and bo4 mode - which resulted in a lot of 2:2 games and people waiting for their next opponent.
A traditional round robin with 5/0 timemode sounds great, hopefully people will find time to play their games.
