See, that's the thing, these things are easier to understand for the uneducated American than a huge, painfully worded bill. Ad hominem attacks aren't sound logic, but, as history has shown, they're very effective when catering to the lowest common denominator.

I was reffering to the last presidential election where I was 4 years younger and didn't follow the fallout of the election.

In actuality, the reforms will give people more control over their health insurance (rather than the government), give MORE people health insurance, and also create jobs. It's as if Republicans are arguing over this bill simply for the sake of Repubalicans > Democrats. I usually don't consider myself to be aligned with a certain party and I don't even follow politics as much as I'd like, but the crap from these conservatives is just ridiculous. Here is a 10 minute video that concisely sums up how retarded Republicans are on the health care reforms.

Getting your opinion made for you is exactly why this country is in such terrible shape.

They say that Obama is going for a government takeover of health care and euthanasia that will completely fuck over the general American population WHICH IS NOT TRUE. Seriously, every single argument these conservative Republicans have made is just made up shit that puts people against Obama. Palin just went so far as to call it Obama's "death panel." It's also notable that many of the recent protests have been organized by current health care companies. You're not going to get any better answers from anyone here - do what you SHOULD do, and read the bill. After all, it's your future, too - and you'll be paying for it. If you seriously can't understand something in the bill, I think that's more cause for you to be concerned with it than anything. Getting your opinion made for you is exactly why this country is in such terrible shape. A.) This is a blog B.) I stated it was also a rant C.) I never asked for someone on here to explain anything to me Please stop posting in my blog now, thanks.

Its obvious that if you get all of your information from MSNBC, it might be a little biased towards one side of the spectrum. Both the left and right have some good points, but I don't think either is gonna give way(obviously). As for me, I just want the government out of my life as much as possible. I am NOT entitled to "free" health care that my taxes would pay for anyway, nor is anyone else. I don't want Medicare/Social Security when I get older either. Just give me that money that they take so I can invest it instead of the government investing it into their bankrupt system. The real debate should be on how damn expensive malpractice insurance is, and how it is contributing to skyrocketing costs. That's one of the many things that is crippling the system. Look at how John Edwards got rich. It wasn't because he was helping the poor, it was because he was suing the f*** out of our system with his frivolous lawsuits.

I don't get everything from MSNBC. That particular video was just very concise in showing how arguments in these protests often have little validity.
