inactivity has made me stop wanting to run the game. Honestly, the town doesn't have enough active participants to even stand 1/10th of a chance.

I'm up for just ending the game

Waiting a week between posts wont = activity. It isn't the towns fault, but it isn't yours either as you've been busy.

I check the thread for new updates a lot actually. But with a week in between each day and night post it makes me stop posting. Honestly with everything going on behind the scenes with caller there is less discussion because anyone who really talks will get owned by the mafia. So I'm guessing a lot of people speak to caller? I dunno how the other games with mayors worked though.

Just start posting faster and put it on more of a schedule. Oh and to be honest, your clues and bullet form give me a headache, so I can't read them that much. I read all the analysis's though.

A big problem with this is the inherent problem of the dual mafia format. We've had to be extremely quiet about saying anything because in order to win the town needs to deflect a significant number of hits of the mafia onto each other, and thus the amount of information that we can reveal publically is very limited. Thus there is very little discussion and mostly robotic orders being followed. This could have been partially alleviated had more people been active in private, but that's been a limited success as well as few apparently wanted to contribute anything.

But yeah general town inactivity has screwed us big time and ruined several nice plans we had. In addition to this, we couldn't tell who was an imposter or what because no matter how suspicious they acted, we wouldn't have enough people even claiming that role until days later or whatever. You'd think that with 4 DTs you'd be able to get even 1 single votelist ever but apparently not.

And mafia have been the most active anyway. It's frustrating knowing the identities of so many but not being able to do much about it.

I don't know. I'd be happy playing the game out but I don't see how the town can win anymore unless key ppl suddenly become active to let certain plans happen. When the modkill comes the town is basically screwed as only a small percentage of mafia have been very silent.

I think next time you should keep a 1 mafia format, because then there can be a lot more said in public rather than being super cryptic about everything and giving the bare minimum in public -> no discussion -> no activity.

No we didnt and that could be because Caller was guiding our votes, or we all wanted to wait till the next series of clues. That doesnt mean you should end the game, not only that but what about the Mafia? They are winning right now. Its like getting to half time and just calling the game early.

Anyway I do think that we should continue and just play it out. I do think it's mostly a foregone conclusion but things could happen easily. I,e everyone turns up active again or Lucchese get raped by Yamaguchi to even things out.

There's simply been way too much put in so far to end without even trying.

The key is that the updates must be regular and frequent. I understand how you feel Ace when you get very few PMs from Blues (I assume this is happening at least) and so you wait longer to get them to give town a chance, but that in turn causes everyone else to be inactive. TBH I'm not really sure of an easy way out. I almost want to say plug the dead active townies back in to the inactives, but you'd have to be very restrictive about this and it could potentially be a really bad idea (for example Showtime couldn't be put in as he knows and does way too much)

Oh and yeah you people are stupid (or mafia as several/many are) for wanting to lynch Caller. If he was mafia I guarantee he'd be playing his cards way differently to not arouse suspicion so soon. Those were my guesses and suggestions anyway so you should lynch me if you want to go about mob wars.
