Hello guys,
During the Christmas break I want to plan BSL in 2025. The more I know about your preferences, potential support and help, the better events I can plan, connect them with each other using some kind of points or seeds, which can often result in more participants. The questions are about online events only. Offline events are planned separately
Which of the mid-season events of BSL do you enjoy the most ? Would you be willing to support prizepool of any of them if we would decide to organize it ?
- BSL 2v2 ProLeague Bombastic StarLeague/2v2 ProLeague/2 - BSL Races Championship Bombastic StarLeague/Races Championship/2 - BSL Nation Wars Bombastic StarLeague/Nation Wars - BSL Surprise Tournaement Bombastic StarLeague/Surprise Tournament
Here is a short form I've made, just to give me some idea of what you like the most and if there is a chance to gather some prizepool or help for any of those events. https://forms.gle/FtGLy7SkWTXNVE5L9
I would love to organize some weekly tournaments as well, but that requires much bigger prizepool to get players interested.
POLL:
Poll: Which of the mid-season events of BSL you like the most ?BSL Nation Wars (20) 45% BSL 2v2 ProLeague (14) 32% BSL Races Championship (5) 11% Something new - tell me what in the comment (4) 9% BSL Surprise Tournaement (1) 2% 44 total votes Your vote: Which of the mid-season events of BSL you like the most ? (Vote): BSL 2v2 ProLeague (Vote): BSL Races Championship (Vote): BSL Nation Wars (Vote): BSL Surprise Tournaement (Vote): Something new - tell me what in the comment
Thanks guys

Cant have 2 votes so i picked NW over 2v2 because NW are always fun. But both were amazing.
If you run NW with a bit more notice/not in summer and maybe even a secondary one with lower tiers (imagine a NW with C/d ranks, it d be fun!) it d be lit

Nation Wars and 2v2 Proleague
definitely

darn not even aware this much tournament going on, would be quite interesting to have a 3v3bgh tournament and a 1vs1 fastest tournament as those can be really funny

While I think 2v2 is the coolest way to play BW, however 2v2 generally doesn't make for a great spectator sport imo. Nation Wars has high stake 2v2 matches integrated, so it should be the obvious vote for both 1v1 and 2v2 lovers.

2v2 would become way more watchable if allied colours would still show some differences like the same colour in dark n light. If not I would be a fan of using fixed colours for 2v2.
For example always use: Team 1: Player1=Purple Player2=Blue Team 2: Player 3=Teal Player 4=White
(I realize this idea can be nightmare to force onto players lol...)

bgh 3v3 all random
most active thread also nower days in the bw forum..

NW were the base of foreign competition for years, so i choose NWs.
2v2 is nice and all but Davis Cup style NW is 10/10 entrainment

Can't argue, Nation War was really fun, I think back then people were really invested into it, haha.

Perhaps 2025 Could be good to add some side tournament to the BSL Circuit. Im thinking 8 qualifier tournaments. Only winner qualifies to the round of 8 bracket. (not matchfixing brackets pure random ) Single elimination.
Only people from Outside Korea and China. Doesnt need to have an insane prizepool. Just test waters and see how the tourney performs. In terms of viewers / support.
It will also give you content to do on your streams too.
It will be like a minor proleague Tourney.

Nation wars and 2v2 ProLeague for sure. One of interesting ideas is "all random" or off race tournament.

I would vote for Nation wars. Also, I would like to register Ukraine for that event.

Host a LAN closer to me. May I suggest Kazakhstan?

Can we stagger Gosu League and Pro League? Like all the games come out at the same time and the VODs are super long. There's actually no time to keep up with it when it's happening
