With the EPT 2023/24 season soon coming to a close at the Esports World Cup, Week #233 of the Open Cups were the final week to award EPT points. Cups for the remainder of the season will still award prize money, but the point standings have been finalized (the future of EPT StarCraft II beyond the EWC has yet to be announced).
The week began with a revitalized Oliveira making a championship run on the Korean server, going through Jieshi, Trap, Dark, and Cure in the process.
The competition then moved on to Europe, where SKillous broke the Clem-MaxPax duopoly to win the weekly title. While MaxPax was conspicuously missing from the competition, it was still a very well-earned victory for SKillous as he defeated Clem and Spirit in the final two rounds—both in clean sweeps.
ESL competition concluded with the American server cup, where Clem made up for his EU loss by defeating ByuN and Dark on his way to victory. The cup also saw the EPT Asia second place race between Coffee and Cyan come to an official end, with Cyan unable to gain any ground on his regional rival.
In non-ESL cups competition, Classic won KSL #53 (3-0 vs Dark in the finals).
