I said Zerg is the strongest race but no one believe in me.

Who's restricted from appearing on TV?
|
Match fixers like Savior I'm guessing.

the most amazing restriction imo, so winner/runnerups from the very first edition of acs in 2018 til now can't play in it anymore lol?
|
it will mostly likely be a protoss winning y, pretty much the best terran and zerg amateurs have reach previous acs finals and hence cannot play (scan/gaeko/bishop & yoon/yabsab/zelot(reach ro16 asl))
either mighty or khala or ssinz should win this one

because you are not recognizing the merit of top amateurs and eventually just be giving handouts to lower tier amateurs. would care about a tourney where you are watching ever decreasing tiers of players with every edition?

Last I checked, 'lower tier' amateurs have some respectable credibility in our current scene. Soma, Rush, sOrry, Royal to name a few.

Huh?
I think it's widely accepted right now that on paper Zerg is the strongest race in this game.

Did you just name 2 aliases of 1 person? Really? Haven't done any proper checking at all if you ask me lol
Also.. you named 2 former pros out of the 3 (not 4) people you mentioned. Jesus.

There are always up and coming players. There have to be if the game is going to survive.
You're right that someone like Soma could probably show up with his "top amateur" status and crush this tournament again and again. But that would be a tournament people would stop watching and a tournament that didn't have any real point. They have to restrict competitors somehow, and this seems totally reasonable.
If Afreeca find themselves really scraping the bottom of the barrel I'm sure they'll change eligibility, but there's no real sign of that so far.

Nice amateur tournaments are awesome. A pity if you qualified for ASL or get 1st/runner up you can't join anymore but I guess it's to make sure someone new wins.
