Reddit thread is pondering this very question right now. I've been called a "Foreigner Elitist" here but there are some facts i can't deny.
ESL Pro Tour qualifiers are a ghost town and has a double elim bracket to give foreigners extra chances compared to WCS single elim: Even with the format being more forgiving, EPT qualifiers are still easier than ever and the group stage is mostly(IMO) a formality before things begin.
Neeb finishing 4th in a group with 2 foreigners. Clem, the EU champion, 3-0ed by GSL runner up (in the groups!): We don't even need to bring Maru and Byun into this, this goes beyond "upset" territory(upset would be Serral making it close or Reynor getting 3rd) this is just getting outclassed.
Region lock removed: Even people who faithfully preached the"faceless foreigners are ruining starcraft" dogma think its ok to end region lock.
International tournament winrate: Foreigners have won Blizzcon and GSL vs the World, but they're getting outperformed by Koreans overall, losing every single weekender non-season finals tournament. The Maru/Korean terran finals is no longer only a GSL issue.
I could go on with this for ages, there's plenty to be said about it but i think the most notable facts that concern this discussion are here.

You weren't here in 2010, were you?
I've heard people talk of the exact opposite recently: that Koreans are overrated and players like Reynor, Serral, and Clem were going to dominate. That if Serral went to GSL he'd win easily.
In the end, I think the foreign scene has some good talent, but the KR scene has both talent and depth. Let's see what happens at blizzcon or whatever the yearly finals are called nowadays.
EDIT: Didn't realize this was a satire thread. That's what I get for not reading TL for a couple weeks :D

Is this the thread where we discuss about how Terrans willingly under performed for months in order to avoid attracting what little attention Blizzard had left for Sc2 and are over performing now that they know the Nerf Hammer won't ever hit again ? I suspect Clem was the only one who wasn't in on the ploy because Byun's email wasn't written in french.

Foreign SC2 in shambles. Blizz should just shut down all servers besides Korea, it s just not worth the cost anymore to give those plebs a chance to play.

I was thinking this exact thing yesterday LOL

Foreign Starcraft was just demolished by a guy who didn't play for 2 years T.T
Guess the Teaja/ Stephano approach to the game is still OP

it's a very good question that requires much thoughtful debate

Honestly I think it is the exact opposite, I feel like foreigners are the strongest they have ever been vs Koreans in the history of StarCraft IMO.

If only foreigners cared more

Since this is some kind of satire thread I wouldn't take the posts in here too serious

This is caused by region lock. Foreigners don't need skill to win money so they just lounge around and barely practice. Then in the international tournaments they get crushed by GSL ro16 cannon fodder.

Yes! This is why we should enforce region lock even more! Save foreign Starcraft!
